What does a typical day look like for you?
A typical day starts with checking and responding to my emails. I then get started with my daily work which normally would include tasks on projects, such as requirements gathering, designing, development, testing, writing documentation, etc.
Where did you study and when did you graduate?
I studied Information Technology at the University of Reading and graduated in July 2019.
Why did you join OpenText and what has your onboarding experience been like?
I joined OpenText because it is a well-established/well known company which I wanted to be a part of. I knew it would be a great place to start my career.The onboarding experience was great. I had a huge amount of support from management and my team.
What do you like best?
The best thing about my job is that its dynamic, I’m not just working on one thing. The fact that my job includes working in each part of the software lifecycle, is probably the best thing about it, as it gives exposure to everything.
Why did you decide to work in Professional Services?
I decided to work in Professional Services because it is one of the core departments at OpenText and I believe working in Professional Services would enhance my technical and communication skills.
How would you describe the OpenText culture?
I would say the OpenText culture is quite relaxed and social.
Is there any advice you would give to recent Graduates applying to a role at OpenText?
If I could give any advice, it would be to make sure you research OpenText and the products that OpenText offers before your interview. This helped me a lot.
What do you like to do outside of work?
Outside of work, I enjoy going to the gym to help keep fit. I also enjoy travelling to different countries whenever I have the chance.
