A day in the life
My work gives me the opportunity to explore and execute on custom solutions for customers. The most interesting part of my job is that there is no ‘typical’ day. I enjoy going to work each morning, the people I work with and, most of all, I enjoy solving unique customer challenges.
Why did you join?
I joined because OpenText is the leader in the EIM space. Also, OpenText has a specific tone and style that I really relate to. As a professional, I feel my capabilities are recognized and put to better use here than they would be anywhere else.
What do you enjoy most about your job?
The key thing that I love about my job is that I feel like my voice is heard and I have freedom in my role. These factors, along with the challenging environment allow me to fulfill my potential. There’s also room to experiment here, which makes me feel motivated and responsible. If I have an idea and I am confident about it, I have the autonomy to make decisions and everyone around me is very supportive. I also love the fact that I’m able to have a good work-life balance here, which is quite rare to achieve in a big software company.
How would you describe the OpenText culture in Hyderabad?
OpenText is a company with great values. The organization honors its employees by listening, taking feedback and acting on input. The culture of OpenText provides exciting challenges that allow employees to use their interests and experiences to deliver sustainable results.
What do you like to do outside of work?
Besides my work responsibilities, I love to cook. I like to try out different cuisines for my family and children. Being a social person, I have people around on weekends. I am an avid reader, so I also spend a good amount of time reading fiction.
