A day in the life
A day in the office starts with reading my emails and exchanging info with my colleagues about customer projects. Then throughout the day, I work on various work packages for these projects or prepare appointments at the customer's site.
If I'm not in the office, I travel to the customer, attend meetings or work on the respective project onsite. I am also in direct contact with the customer and answer their questions as they come up.
Why did you join?
A former fellow student told me about OpenText. I was offered an opportunity to accompany him to work at OpenText for a day and decided to do a dual work study program at OpenText.
During my dual studies, I was able to gain a lot of positive experience at work. After completing my studies, I decided to stay with OpenText.
What do you like best?
I have a very collegial team–we all work really well together. I also appreciate that at OpenText you can also contact other colleagues at any time if you have any questions and they will be happy to help.
Outside of my colleagues, I like that every day is different because of the range of customer projects we work on. This means there are always varied tasks to do. In addition, the new challenges allow me to develop personally. I feel like I’m constantly learning new things.
OpenText culture
In Germany, OpenText colleagues are very open-minded and friendly. They have an open ear for questions and support you as best they can. In addition, I feel connected to colleagues in different functions too as there are many departments under one roof.
Life outside of work
I find a good balance to my work in the mountains. I try to spend as much time as possible in nature and enjoy the beautiful landscape near the Alps. Yoga also offers me relaxation during the week.
