"There is tremendous work-life balance here, which is important given that I am a mother of three busy boys. OpenText has been extremely supportive of me and what it takes to be successful as a sales person and as a mother, too."

A day in the life

A typical day starts with a coffee meeting with my VP. It’s been an ongoing tradition that we have done for the last few years. It allows us to plan our week, strategize and stay connected on key focus areas.

I then transition to my team call where we review the week’s activities, deals, presentations, etc. I like to ensure I carve out plenty of one-on-one time with my AEs to ensure they have the necessary resources and support to be successful.

Why did you join?

I came to OpenText through an acquisition. I was originally part of the Enterprise Group at Dell EMC. Being part of that team allowed me to expand my knowledge and go back to my customers and introduce them to the tremendous breadth of products and services at OpenText.

What do you like best?

I’m inspired by my leadership. I see how hard they work and how supportive they are of me and it motivates me to work hard and to make a difference for my team.

It is exciting and rewarding knowing I can take my experiences and successes and mentor the next group of AEs coming up the ranks.

Further, there is tremendous work-life balance here, which is important given that I am a mother of three busy boys. OpenText has been extremely supportive of me and what it takes to be successful as a sales person and as a mother, too.

OpenText culture

The culture here is one of support and encouragement, which provides the chance to be tremendously successful. Everyone is willing to help and it’s really all about the team.

Life outside of work

I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. My oldest son is a serious tennis player, working his way through the national tennis ranks. We travel throughout the country supporting him. I also like to run and recently ran a marathon relay with my girlfriends, raising more than $15,000 in support of finding a cure for seizures.
