The OpenText Content Professional Services Practice is searching for a dynamic and resourceful individual to join our Content team as a Lead Consultant. The Lead Consultant applies business & technical skills and consulting methodologies to collect and analyze information to design, configure, and implement Open Text solutions based on unique customer requirements. This position is focused on Enterprise accounts, emphasizing the Open Text Enterprise Content Management product line.

 

This role works closely with customers and other Professional Service Consultants in the delivery of Open Text engagements and with the Account Executives, Solution Consultants, and Strategic Partners throughout the sales and delivery cycles.

•    Delivering Professional Services engagements with confidence and high quality
•    Effectively communicating through strong written and verbal communication skills
•    Contributing to developing a solution design and strategic deployment roadmap
•    Work as part of a solution development team
•    Write code per application specifications
•    Test to ensure designs comply with specifications
•    Analyze user requirements to determine how to translate into Java
•    Debug and resolve technical issues
•    Make recommendations to existing job infrastructure
•    Highly professional team player with the ability to work independently while being part of a dynamic team
•    Contributing to project documentation, including but not limited to the requirements document, technical design, test plans, and knowledge transfer documentation
•    Participating in multiple projects simultaneously
•    Delivering presentations, workshops, and live demonstrations to a mixed audience of technical, business, and management staff
•    Building and maintaining positive customer relationships and translating them into long-term benefits for both companies 
•    Preparing, maintaining, and submitting weekly activity/progress reports and time recording reports by published procedures
•    Interacting with sales, services, and partners to participate in scoping project efforts, creating estimates, and responding to RFPs 
•    Adhere to OpenText’s internal standards and best practices for consistent, high-quality project delivery
 
What it takes:
•    The candidate should have 5-8 years of professional consulting experience implementing medium to complex solutions
•    Familiarity with OpenText Content Server and/or Documentum Server is considered a plus
•    Having a comprehensive understanding of the various features, functionalities, and capabilities of OpenText WebReports is a plus
•    Competency with web development technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Python, and Angular
•    Competency in Java and .Net technologies, Client and Server-Side Development, REST, and JSON
•    Working in multi-tiered architecture (presentation, application, and database)
•    Knowledge of web servers and application servers
•    Knowledge and understanding of on-premises and cloud enterprise software deployments
•    A solid grasp of various technologies that include development languages, tools, and web-based technology that could be involved in an OpenText solution
•    Strong analytical, technical, and problem-solving skills
•    Ability to communicate with technical and business-focused team members 
•    Continually engage in professional development
•    Travel is a requirement of this position
•    This is a revenue-generating position
