The Opportunity

OpenText is looking for a Lead Product Manager to lead our business-to-business (B2B) connectivity and integration program.  As Lead Product Manager you will manage several key applications and platforms that make up the Business Network Trading Grid communication and integration gateways. You will develop the product strategy, drive the definition and the delivery of product releases, and be responsible for the full life cycle of the product.  You will work closely with the go-to-market team to ensure the product roadmap can meet the requirements of the business plan and be successfully rolled out.  Critical skillsets and experience include an understanding of B2B integration technologies, supply chain, corporate to bank financial transactions, SaaS, PaaS, integration platforms, and managed services delivery models.  A strong technical background is an asset.

 In this role, you will:

  • Lead the BN team to maintain and bring to market highly resilient, scalable, and secure B2B communication protocols
  • Support sales to professional services during RFP and customer discovery sessions to deliver a fully integrated managed service solution that addresses all customer needs
  • Review market trends, analyst reports, and customer feedback to provide innovation and new products for BN customers to exchange B2B transactions
  • Keep abreast of the latest security standards and ensure BN B2B gateways maintain the highest level of security
  • Support key initiatives to move the BN platform into the cloud using a microservice-based architecture


You are great at:

  • Discovering and validating market problems (both existing and future customers).
  • Seeking new market opportunities by leveraging the company’s distinctive competence.
  • Providing oversight of strategy, technical, and marketing aspects of the product.
  • Creating and maintaining the business plan including pricing.
  • Determining buy/build/partner decisions.
  • Approving final marketing and go-to-market plans.
  • Analyzing the competitive landscape.
  • Working with key customers, analysts, and members of the field organization to gather requirements for future releases and feedback on current releases.
  • Maintaining the product roadmap and representing it internally and externally.


What it takes: 

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in information systems, business, supply chain, or logistics & transportation. MBA is a plus.
  • A minimum of 2-3 years experience in product management or equivalent role with a demonstrated ability to drive product planning, development, and launch in a collaborative environment
  • Familiar with common e-business B2B protocols including AS2, SFTP, FTPS, HTTPS and some industry-specific protocols including RosettaNet
  • Familiar with payment systems and transactions, including SWIFT ISO 20022 and PCI compliance
  • Strong customer orientation and proven experience in sales situations.
  • Skilled in presentations and discussions with business and technical staff.
  • Knowledge of software development lifecycle processes and methodologies.
  • Strong English language communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong leadership skills.
  • Effective at influencing and convincing others into action yet able to also be a collaborative team member.
  • Accustomed to working in an international environment involving multiple development sites in geographically distributed time zones.
