The Opportunity:

 

OpenText is looking for a Principal Product Manager with razor-sharp analytical skills, familiarity with enterprise and consumer products, a deep understanding of direct sales and marketing processes, bias toward action, strong collaboration and communication skills to join our OpenText Documentum product team.

The Principal Product Manager is responsible for defining product direction and strategy, owns the product roadmap and builds innovative products that creative professionals don't just use, but love.

The Principal Product Manager is an individual contributor role that thrives on both quantitative and qualitative data and on the opportunity to push the boundaries of web, desktop and mobile products. The Principal Product Manager also nurtures a healthy relationship with strategic customers and partners as well as cross-functional collaborators from Marketing, Sales, Engineering, UX Design, QA, Customer Success and Customer support.

If you are passionate about building innovative and delightful consumer and enterprise software products and are not afraid to dive into technical discussions with engineers and architects one day and an executive-level presentation on the value and direction of your product the next day, then we’re looking for you.

You are great at:

 

  • Driving global product requirements definition, product planning and product design (including writing specifications) of new product features and enhancements.
  • Develop a comprehensive product roadmap to deliver on the business goals.
  • Work with the product development team and other cross-functional teams to bring features to life.
  • Clearly communicate product benefits to our users and internal stakeholders

 

What it takes:

 

  • BS degree in a technology-related field
  • Must be passionate about the creative process, design and user experience, emerging web technologies, and community building with a demonstrated track record of visionary execution
  • At least 5-8 years experience in a product management or equivalent role with a demonstrated ability to drive product planning, development, and launch in a collaborative environment
  • Able to manage and lead across highly cross-functional teams in an agile manner
  • Must have excellent oral and written communication skills and be able to interact with and understand technical subjects/emerging technologies and their relevance to the marketplace
