Security Operations is the team that handles day to day protection of our environment and the tools that support them. This team takes care of identifying security weaknesses and facilitates remediation efforts. Additionally, this team monitors networks to assess abnormal behaviors and manages security incidents to allow for the execution of response processes.

 

Your Impact:

The Threat Hunting Lead is a key member of Open Text’s Cyber Security team and will posses strong operational and analytical experience in Threat Hunting and Detection Engineering. This position is also focused on maturing the Threat Hunting program. The successful candidate will develop threat detection and analysis techniques from Threat Intelligence, threat trends and security tools to drive improvements in security monitoring and alerting capabilities. This hands-on role requires deep technical knowledge of security monitoring, security operations, network and systems analysis, threat modeling and threat detection.

 

What the role offers:

As a Lead Threat Hunter, you will:

 

• Research Cybersecurity threats, adversary activities, and TTPs to enhance threat understanding.

• Develop advanced detection mechanisms using threat modeling and attack frameworks.

• Leverage intelligence from Threat Hunting to improve Security Operations, detection, and response.

• Drive the consistent operation and improvement of the Threat Hunting program.

• Optimize security tool deployments and introduce scalable security services.

• Lead integration of security operations, tools, and processes for acquired companies.

• Possess 8-12 years of previous professional experience and able to work in shifts and weekends.

 

What you need to Succeed:

 

• BS in Computer Science, Cyber Security, Information Assurance, or Information Security preferred.

• 7+ years of technology leadership experience with a focus on security, infrastructure, and cloud.

• 3+ years of technical management experience leading large-scale security projects.

• Expertise with IT security components, including firewalls, UTM, ATP, TVM, IAM, and security analytics.

• Hands-on experience in forensic science, data analysis, malware reversing, and network security.

• CISSP, GCIH, CISA, CISM, or related certifications preferred; experience with MITRE ATT&CK framework is a plus.
