The Open Text Professional Services team is comprised of more than 3,000 consultants who act as trusted advisors, managing long lasting relationships with more than 100,000 customers around the world. Professional Services is an enabler to our customers seeking to realize Return on Investment (ROI) from their investment in OpenText ITOM and cloud solutions. They are responsible for the delivery of business solutions, from pre-sales to post implementation. Our teams of experts help organizations solve issues, create value, improve business performance, and work more effectively in an increasingly digital world.

 

As a Lead PS Sales Consultant within the Professional Services division, you will be responsible for support and drive selling complex services offers to these customers. Your main focus will be:

  • Customer Trusted Advisor (digital transformation consultant and strategic workshops execution)
  • Solution Focus (strong focus on solution expertise on people-process-technology-data focused on customer outcomes)
  • Pipe Development (lead pipe biz plan)

The PS Sales Consultant works closely the Account team, including the Account Executive, PS Client Manager and the technical pre-sales, as well as with the Professional Services Practice to develop strategy to digital transformation. Your role will put you at the heart of the client's needs and constraints (budgetary, legal, regulatory, etc.) and will make you one of the client's privileged contacts at OpenText. You will actively participate in the sale of innovative business solutions to meet the increasingly high expectations of our customers and reaching your targets.

 

What the role offers

  • Engages with customers at senior level to shape their vision and jointly develop a roadmap for a transformational engagement.
  • Deep experience in one solution area with expertise (Enterprise Search engine, Data Analytics, ITSM and Operations management).
  • Leads one or more solution areas (big transformation plays or specific pillars).
  • Drives a solution business plan to ensure a healthy pipeline and correct application of strategic plays in the geography.
  • Leads the deal team in developing differentiating propositions fulfilling client vision.
  • Assists Client Manager/SW Sales/xBU Sales in opportunity qualification and risk assessment.
  • Responsible for validating/endorsing the complete people-process-technology solution for the deal.
  • Works with delivery to ensure that solution design can be appropriately delivered and assists in a smooth transition to delivery.
  • Partial delivery activities about what is sold, in order to support the handover and upselling.

 

What you need to succeed

 

Graduated from an engineering school in computer science (or equivalent), with Post university education.

  • More than 15y´s experience in IT management and Digital Transformation for multinational corporations in IT Outsourcing and Software Professional Services.
  • Strong presence and confidence, exhibiting professional maturity, strong communication skills in English and Dutch.
  • Knowledge of IT project delivery and most common project management methodologies.
  • Understanding of IT projects engagements type and the financial aspects (revenue, margin, billing).
  • Knowledge of IT4IT and main IT architecture standards.
  • IT Operations Management ITSM/ITIL, Enterprise Service Management, Cloud Monitoring, IT Automation.
  • IDOL information management. Structure and unstructured information management. IDOL knowledge is a plus.
