Financial Analyst - Compliance & Quality Assurance (P2P & R2R)

The Opportunity

 

Compliance & Quality assurance team, supporting Finance delivery team in terms of quality improvements, SOX/SOD compliance, audit (internal & external) support, Journal entry/account reconciliation quality review, management reporting, Operational review, improvement & compliance projects etc.

 

Partners with the business/finance delivery stakeholders to ensure that the financial accounting, processes, controls, policy, reporting are operationally supported and strategically focused to secure the greatest return on investment for the global company. Gathers financial data and performs financial analyses and reporting (e.g., profit & loss, balance sheet, cash flow, pricing, etc.) to influence decisions within the business. Communicates and drives adherence to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and the organization's financial goals and policies. Ensures strong business/financial controls. Enabled with strong knowledge on IFRS & US GAAP accounting standards. Also partakes in necessary projects from time to time to demonstrate/transform the success and implementation of requisite steps to confirm quality and compliance.

 

You are great at:

 

  • Provides complex, financial analysis for a financial function or a business.

  • Establishes and maintains relationships with business leaders to guide and influence decision making.

  • Provides analytics to business initiatives, typically representing a sub-function within finance for a particular business.

  • Supports policy and process improvement and identifies opportunities.

  • Identifies issues and proposes solutions.

  • Represents finance on cross- functional teams.

  • Provides consulting and guidance to fellow team members, other stakeholders and management.

  • IFRS & US GAAP application & updates– good to have.

  • Performs the QA checks on the P2P & R2R processes via adopting to multiple mediums of validation parameters.

  • Strong understanding of accounting principles / financial analysis, good process knowledge on more than 3+ core R2R processes

  • Undertakes quite a few projects driven to ensure management objectives of accuracy, efficiency, quality and standardizations are upheld and restored time to time.

 

What it takes:

 

  • First level university degree with a focus in business or economics; advanced degree or accounting certification (e.g., ICWA, CA, MBA in finance) preferred.

  • Typically, 3+ years of experience as a qualified OR 6+ years of experience.

  • Typically experienced in more than one finance function

  • Strong knowledge of ERP systems (Enterprise Resource Planning) focused on Finance area.

  • Strong skills on presentation of Data in customized formats for higher management

  • Strong analytical skills

  • Strong business application skills (e.g., Microsoft Excel, PPT)

  • Strong communication, networking and influencing skills.

  • Excellent teamwork skills

  • Good business acumen.
