YOUR IMPACT:
Ensuring best in class accounting support is delivered consistently for the Record to Report area involving processing, reporting and presentation of accurate financial data in a timely manner to management and stakeholders. To drive, co-ordinate on audit with various stakeholders and teams for effective and smooth audit process. To focus on innovations to gain efficiency in the accounting area. Support coordination with other functions (including leadership) as well as Global Process Owners within a Shared Service Center (SSC). Also, Responsible for key Record to Record (RTR) process activities in the Captive SSC (accounting for processes including Deferred Revenue / Professional Services / Accounts Receivable, etc.), and ensuring timeliness, accuracy and quality of work / reports.
WHAT THE ROLE OFFERS:
- Support service delivery and operations of RTR transactional services in a SSC for regions such as EMEA, APJ, AMS

Post manual journal entries for complex accruals / provisions and provide justification for Quality Assurance process

Review and support preparation of monthly / quarterly balance sheet reviews and account reconciliations

Report and track high risk / critical items in a timely manner

Coordinate the audit process (Internal Audits, SOX Audit, Local Statutory Audit, External (Process & Systems): coordination of documentation support and providing necessary explanations

Prepare monthly reports as assigned, and highlight / rectify any identified anomalies (including all reporting requirements accurately and within specified timelines)

Perform analysis of transactional accounting information to support decision making

Typically, the first escalation point of contact for customer issues related to RTR

Support the development / changes in systems, transactions and processes (including process documentation) and support new projects / transitions

Ensure all reporting activities are executed timely, accurately and with the required quality and ensure compliance to SOX
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED:

2-6 years’ experience with accounting qualifications will be an added advantage (CA, CPA, ACCA)

Non-qualified accountants with 6-10 years’ relevant matching experience may also please apply

Must have R2R Accounting experience with Deferred Revenue accounting, B/S Reconciliation, Month end close, B/S Flux analysis.

Direct relevant experience of working in a Captive SSC / Business Process Outsourcing Organizations will be desired (in addition to years of experience / qualification)

Strong domain knowledge in RTR processes

Strong knowledge of accounting principles and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) / US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (USGAAP) Accounting

Strong experience of finance & accounting systems (SAP, NetSuite, Assurenet etc.)
