Sr. Software Engineer - Devops

The opportunity

Looking for a Sr. Software Engineer - DevOps to join an agile, energetic team to build cutting-edge security and threat intelligence applications. The team builds and manages cloud computing and service applications for business and enterprise customers worldwide.

You are great at
 

• Build, deploy, and maintain distributed and scalable services on AWS, which are the backend systems for Webroot Threat Intelligence Platform. Making sure critical systems are up and operational 24x7.
• Design and develop monitoring system to ensure high availability, low latency, scalability, and efficiency of the platform; maintain, drive infrastructure design and improvements; cost control and system upgrades.
• Build automation frameworks and systems to improve time to delivery using modern CI/CD systems
• Participate in on-call for escalated issues to support production customers
• Establish, implement, and document best practices with regards to system maintenance, upgrades, configuration, deployment, and security/performance monitoring
• Manage AWS accounts in terms of cost monitoring, security auditing
• Work closely with PM and other dev teams to define requirements and release planning; coordinate with SE to resolve customer issues as necessary

What it takes
 

• 3+ years of experience in DevOps and software development in a popular object-oriented language on Windows and Linux environments
• Experience with cloud-based computing technologies preferably AWS, including core services like VPC, EC2, S3, CloudFront, SQS, ELB/ALB/NLB, RDS, DynamoDB, CodePipeline, CodeDeploy.
• Knowledge of CI/CD process and infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform, Cloudformation
• Experience in SQL, NoSQL, memory, graph database management such as MSSQL, MYSQL, Cassandra, Redis, TigerGraph
• Experience in DNS management is a plus
• Knowledge in REST API and web development
• Experience with scripting languages preferably python is a plus
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes is a plus
• Good problem-solving and root cause analysis skills, ability to work within agile teams’ environment and good verbal and written communication skills
