The Opportunity:
The Sr. Systems Administrator will be responsible for operational maintenance, and support of various technologies and products. As a Sr. Systems Administrator, you are expected to be a SME and an escalation point to team members as well as external members of the OpenText enterprise. You will have extensive knowledge and expertise in SaaS Applications, understand how the infrastructure behind them works, and create exceptional experience outcomes for internal and external customers.. You can expect to continually learn at Open Text, developing new skills from various experiences.
The Ops Center role is a crucial part of our organization. It is at an exciting time for Open Text as we seek to scale and optimize our internal and external processes, transforming and delivering a customer experience that delights across all touch points.
This requires the ability to work 24/7 shifts on a rotational basis including on weekends and holidays.

A natural collaborator, working with other engineering and design teams to consistently deliver great end-to-end customer experiences across stages, channels, and other touchpoints in the customer journey.

Evaluate systems components, systems software, networking infrastructure, and hardware peripherals for availability, reliability, and performance.

Acknowledgement that the pace of change is driven by external factors, we need to ensure that we can constantly adjust to meet external drivers for an improved and updated customer experience working to delight not only external but internal customers.
What it takes

Well versed (5+ Yrs. experience) with working on Windows or Linux Operating System (SUSE Linux or Red Hat)

Worked on basic laptop and computer hardware and network support.

Exposure to work on Virtual Machines/VMWare and Cloud Ops
-
Exposure of Active Directory and Exchange mailbox for end user support needs.

Exposure to working on Service now or OpenText Service Automation Tool (SMAX)

Exposure to ITIL process including Incident Management, Service Requests and Change Management.

Highly developed communication skills: Ability and comfort with working at executive levels.
