The Opportunity

OpenText is seeking a talented, creative, experienced Brand Content Copywriter for the Carbonite, Webroot, and Hightail brands to help us be the dominant voice of cyber resilience. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of branding and storytelling with an ability to work independently and alongside other writers, designers, and internal clients. You will support the Creative Director in overall company objectives.

Brand Content Copywriter responsibilities include writing original and edited advertising campaigns, longer format content like e-books and reports, social media, web pages, as well as research-heavy blog posts; maintaining brand consistency across all assets.


You Are Great At

  • Communicating copywriting/creative vision and ideas to stakeholders and are passionate about doing the right thing
  • Research industry-related topics and identify gaps in our content
  • Write original copy for ads, social, e-books, reports, and video scripts
  • Working closely with internal clients to help articulate their objectives and goals
  • Understanding cohesive campaigns across objective, storyline, call-to-action
  • Prepare blog articles, datasheets, and collateral that describe our company and products as well as value proposition specific to each audience
  • Use SEO practices to optimize articles and increase visibility
  • Liaise with Designers to enrich the text with visual aids, like images and charts
  • Create and oversee reports on content (e.g. weekly or monthly)
  • Interview clients, industry experts, and internal teams


What It Takes

Brand Content Copywriters with the following skills, knowledge, and abilities have been known to be more effective on the job by:

  • 4+ years of proven work experience as a Senior Copywriter, Product Copywriter or similar
  • An available online portfolio of various long and short-form copy: a combination of published blogs, articles, social media posts, e-books, display ads and advertisements
  • Demonstrate command of communication and presentation skills as well as experience, with a keen eye for detail
  • Solid time-management skills
  • While not required, individuals who have a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, Journalism Communication will excel in this position.


Estimated Pay Range: 55K - 75K
