The Opportunity

We are looking for an experienced Director, Customer Lifecycle Marketing, to lead our internal team. Your mission is to drive the strategy and execution of global email campaigns, in product messaging, and ecommerce account management and cart experience. You will be accountable to hard quarterly metrics inclusive of consumer ecommerce sales, very small business ecommerce sales & trial starts, B:B MQLS, and B:B sales renewals.  You and your team’s variable compensation is tied to hitting these targets.

 

By optimizing the buyer’s journey for Carbonite and Webroot brands, you will increase conversion and decrease churn by improving the timing and cadence of lifecycle messaging, ensuring content is aligned to CTAs, and align online account management and cart experience to maximize dollars. You will lead the Marketing Automation team, responsible for executing globally with a focus on nurturing leads, converting trial users, and generating revenue through renewal/upsell/cross-sell activities. You will work with marketing, sales, and customer success teams to help grow sales and improve customer engagement.

 

What You Are Great At

  • Creating and guiding marketing automation strategy and team effectiveness
  • Leading a team who develops complex automated marketing campaigns with performance focus
  • Be a team leader and expert in our complex Marketo & Responsys instances and connected systems
  • Take on major strategic projects involving multiple systems and cross-team partnerships
  • Design and promote framework for protecting the customer, prospect, and partner experience
  • Drive A/B testing methodology in partnership with internal stakeholders to improve emails, landing pages and website/product experiences
  • Promote segmentation framework to improve the effectiveness and targeting of the campaigns
  • Analyze what’s working and what’s not - direct team to maximize effectiveness
  • Delivering on your numbers – sales quota, MQLS, and churn %

 

What You Bring to the Table

  • 10+ years of experience with email marketing systems (Marketo preferred)
  • Hands-on experience using CRM and database platforms (Salesforce preferred)
  • Experience with leading and managing teams
  • A bachelor’s degree in business or equivalent discipline
  • An analytic mindset and the skills needed to measure performance
  • Experience working with executive, business and technical audiences
