Financial Analyst

The Role

As a key member of the FP&A organization, the person in this role will partner with our Sales Operations Team and use bookings information to model revenue.  This person will also report out monthly, quarterly, and annual revenues and explain variances (BVA, FVA, QoQ, YoY etc.…)  The ideal candidate understands the Sales cycle and has experience in leveraging bookings and current revenue under contract to produce an updated revenue forecast.  This role will also support the Corporate Revenue Operations team in providing updated forecasts and commentary.    

The Financial Analyst will draw heavily on their financial modeling and system skills to provide financial insights revenue trends to help drive financial decision making that yields maximum, long term value for the business.  The ideal candidate is a well-rounded performer who thrives in a fast paced and demanding environment, embraces a collaborative work style and possesses a clear customer and operations focus, with a passion for business support.


Specific Responsibilities

  • Update Revenue Forecasts by using the latest bookings information, product revenue waterfalls, and revenue under contract
  • Work with the Sales Operations and Revenue Operations Teams to provide updated forecasts and variance analysis
  • Maintain and update the Revenue Models using the latest bookings information and validate product level revenue assumptions
  • Contribute to the Operating Plan, Budget and Monthly forecast processes in key functions of the business, including the aggregation of necessary data, development of supporting models, coordination with Business Leaders to determine assumptions, and completion of key metrics, reporting and benchmarks.
  • Support core processes regarding monthly results and quarterly earnings. Analyze financial and operational data; develop and deliver reports to business segments.
  • Perform ad-hoc analysis to support various business initiatives and special projects.

For Colorado residents, this job is expected to pay in the range of 65K to 75K in addition to a comprehensive and competitive group benefit and healthcare plan. Individual compensation will be determined based on skills and experience comparable to the job requirements.


Skills, Experience and Characteristics

  • 2-4 years of progressive experience in a corporate Finance role for a global public company. Technology (SaaS) industry experience is preferred.
  • BS in Finance or Accounting. MBA is a plus.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills. Strong customer focus with the demonstrated ability to build long-term relationships.
  • Proven accomplishments in process improvement and financial systems implementation.
  • Strong ability to breakdown and understand financial results, and effectively handle multiple deliverables in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
  • Exceptional computer skills with a range of relevant financial software packages and expert excel skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills including proven ability to work comfortably with senior executives.
  • High degree of initiative and bias for action. Eager to adapt to and drive change.
