The Opportunity:


OpenText is seeking an experienced Sr Inside Sales Manager to managing our inside sales team (5) and cross-sales team (5) across Carbonite, Webroot, and Hightail Brands.


In this role, you will be responsible for a go-to-market business plan and execution that includes responsibility for outreach to all web leads and a cross-sell strategy to existing professional customers. You will become an expert on all professional plans across Carbonite, Webroot, and Hightail and will work closely with Product and Marketing to tell the security, backup and creative collaboration stories to deliver the value proposition to our customers driving incremental annual contract value (ACV). Your teams will play key roles in establishing the value proposition of our professional solutions to all trial subscribers and opportunities with existing customers.


Cross-functional collaboration is a large part of the role, so it’s essential that you have excellent communication skills and feel comfortable working in a team environment across multiple departments. You will work closely with Product Marketing, Demand Generation, Life Cycle Marketing, and Product Development departments to ensure an optimized prospecting strategy and increase sales This role requires self-motivation, high energy, and a results-oriented mindset. You Are Great At:


  • Managing our inside sales team (5) and cross-sales team (5) across Carbonite, Webroot, and Hightail Brands
  • Work closely with Marketing’s Demand Generation and Life Cycle communications teams to optimize lead generation and optimize all aspects of lead funnel
  • Suggesting and implementing improvements in the sales administration and lead gen process
  • Set and track sales targets and the activity necessary to reach sales targets for your tea
  • Report on sales metrics and suggest improvements
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual sales forecasts
  • Use customer feedback to generate ideas about new messaging, features, or products
  • Research and discover methods to increase customer engagement and opportunities for cross-sales
  • Ensure sales, finance, and legal policies and procedures are adhered to
  • Build a high-energy, open-communication environment for your team



What It Takes:

  • 8+ years of sales management experience, preferably in the SaaS industry
  • Deep Understanding of direct to consumer/prosumer lead generation and carry through to conversion
  • Track record of proven success achieving sales targets and driving sales growth
  • Outstanding presentation and communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Demonstrated knowledge of managing sales funnels, business plan execution, and sales to small businesses and professionals
  • Must be able to understand the markets and competition to articulate the value prop and build a strategy
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity, backup, and collaboration tools
  • Hands-on experience with SFDC software and MS Excel
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher
