The Opportunity:


As a key member of the FP&A organization, the person in this role will partner with varying constituents across the Go To Market organization to develop key financial metrics, forecasts, reporting, analyses, and models to drive financial transparency and better inform business decisions.


The Director, FP&A Business Partnership will draw heavily on their ability to take financial data (General Ledger, HC, Product Information, or transactional data) and analyze it and present it to their business partners in a way that helps them make better decisions.  Communication and partnership along with financial modeling and analysis will be key to this role.  In addition, the person in this role will develop simple, concise financial dashboards for key stakeholders throughout the organization to review on a regular basis. The person in this role will also have a sophisticated understanding of financial analysis/modeling and knowledge of financial systems and tools to provide financial insights to help drive decision-making that yields value for the business.  The ideal candidate is a well-rounded performer who thrives in a fast-paced and demanding environment and embraces a collaborative work style. For Colorado residents, this job is expected to pay in the range of $171,548 OTE (on-target earnings) to $257,322 OTE in addition to a comprehensive and competitive group benefit and healthcare plan.  Individual compensation will be determined based on skills and experience comparable to the job requirements.



What you will do:


  • Manage all things finance related for Sales and Marketing
  • Provide and manage the financial planning and analysis process (monthly, quarterly, annual) for expense, headcount, and key performance indicators manage all things finance related for Sales and Marketing
  • Oversee/Approve spending and hiring for key business groups
  • Develop relationships with key stakeholders and earn their trust to help you influence them to make good decisions.
  • Get to know your business through deep analysis and be able to identify items that are difference makers and communicate this information in a concise manner at the right level.
  • Develop and refine financial metrics and models to help the business (HC, project, and cost-related).
  • Partner with sales and marketing stakeholders to align on product level P&Ls
  • Lead a team of 2 individuals
  • Support ongoing system integrations to ensure continuity of reporting
  • Enable team members and business partners to leverage reporting developed to automate and standardize manual processes
  • Leverage tools to develop and maintain reporting for key metrics, including analyzing and communicating key drivers
  • Perform ad-hoc analyses to support various business initiatives and special projects

What it takes:


  • 10+ years of progressive experience in financial planning, reporting and analysis
  • 4+ years of experience as a team leader
  • BS in Finance, Accounting or another related field
  • Experience developing and managing financial models
  • Experience with SaaS business is desirable
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills; strong customer focus with the demonstrated ability to build long-term relationships
  • Be comfortable building relationships with all levels of the organization (from SVP to front-line engineer)
  • Continuous improvement mindset
  • History of developing executive-level dashboards that provide clear, concise business results
  • Strong ability to breakdown and understand financial results and effectively handle multiple deliverables in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
  • Exceptional computer skills with a range of relevant financial software packages and expert Excel skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills including proven ability to work comfortably with senior executives
  • Must be detail-oriented and eager to adapt and drive change
