Your Impact

As a Collections Specialist, you will play a critical role in converting revenue into cash by managing customer accounts and setting appropriate credit limits. You will ensure timely collections and effectively resolve payment issues, contributing to financial stability. Additionally, you will support your team through coaching and help refine processes to enhance efficiency. This position offers a key opportunity to drive financial success and strengthen valuable customer relationships.

 

What the role offers

  • Effectively manage an assigned portfolio of simple to medium complexity transactions to ensure timely and accurate processing and resolution.
  • Proactively reconcile customer accounts and apply cash to invoices to maintain a clear view of outstanding debtor positions and address discrepancies promptly.
  • Adopt and follow best practices in dispute management and system usage to enhance customer satisfaction and ensure accurate transaction records.
  • Collaborate with internal partners and external customers to foster positive relationships and support effective cash collection strategies.
  • Analyze and report on root causes of disputes and transaction issues to provide actionable insights for future avoidance and process improvements.
  • Participate in review meetings and provide clear updates on dispute status, ensuring that all agreed actions are executed and progress is reported back.
  • Ensure compliance with Cash & Collections policies, audit standards, and regulatory requirements to maintain operational integrity and accuracy.
  • Prioritize and manage workload effectively to meet or exceed performance metrics with minimal supervision, contributing to the overall success and efficiency of the team.

 

 

What you need to succeed

  • A first-level university degree in Business, Economics, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 1-3 years of experience in Collections or related field
  • Advanced proficiency in both English and German, spoken and written.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on negotiation and conflict resolution.
  • Solid accounting knowledge and effective problem-solving skills.
  • Understanding of dispute management processes and the ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Strong influence and persuasion skills.
