Your Impact
As a Payroll Specialist, you will develop professional expertise within the payroll function while gaining broader exposure to multi-disciplinary issues. You will complete a wide range of work assignments independently and operate under the direction of new assignments. Your role will involve coordinating key processes and technical analyses, probing for the root cause of process or data gaps, and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement. Your contributions will focus on individual deliverables within various projects.
What the Role Offers
- Manage start-to-end payroll processing within the designated payroll portfolio
- Handle all payroll administration (Benefits administration, Compliance administration, Tax and financial year-end administration, Banking and treasury-related activities)
- Responsible for all payment dispensations related to payroll activities
- Support all administrative tasks linked to payroll compliance, statistics, and audits
- Train other team members and develop their own knowledge
- Stay up-to-date with the knowledge required for this professional level
What You Need to Succeed
- Attention to Detail: You must be proactive, able to anticipate needs, and prepared in advance
- Organizational Skills: Conscientious and organized, able to plan ahead, and deliver on key tasks and deadlines
- Problem-Solving and Analysis: You will work on a variety of assignments, analyzing payroll data, employee data, and providing support and data to cross-functional teams, auditors, and local authorities
- Decision-Making: You will select appropriate actions within defined procedures and practices, receive ongoing guidance for new assignments, and provide guidance to other team members
- Communication and Collaboration: Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential (you will build productive internal and external relationships to resolve mutual problems and collaborate to coordinate information and work). Any foreign language skill represents an advantage
- Experience: 2-4 years of payroll experience, with a good working knowledge of finance, compliance, and HR activities and processes
One Last Thing
In this role, you will ensure all submissions to relevant external parties are made on time without delays, support queries from internal and external parties and auditors, and work on any issues within the given payroll portfolio to ensure resolutions are in place. You will be committed to getting the right data for correct output, maintain confidentiality, comply with GDPR and company policies, and follow company procedures without failure. Your proactive communication of any issues or concerns, as well as your ability to build good working relationships with cross-functional teams, will be key to your success.
