This is a great opportunity to join our Global Workplace Security and Safety team as an Occupational Health and Safety professional, driving impactful change across the EMEA region. In this critical role, you'll collaborate with global stakeholders to implement cutting-edge safety programs, protect our employees, and shape prevention-focused initiatives. You'll be at the forefront of risk mitigation strategies, using industry best practices to create a safer work environment.

 

What the Role Offers

  • Support the development and implementation of the Occupational Health and Safety Management System in the EMEA region, aligning safety initiatives with strategic goals.
  • Develop and oversee hazard identification, risk management programs, and emergency preparedness plans to mitigate workplace risks and ensure employee safety.
  • Monitor and assess emerging health and safety regulations, ensuring compliance and minimizing risks to business operations.
  • Conduct research and surveys to gather information on workplace hazards, and create comprehensive operational guidelines, procedures, and training resources.
  • Advise business units on hazard identification and control measures, fostering a proactive safety culture across the organization.
  • Identify and manage issues of non-compliance, escalating them to the Sr. Manager for timely resolution.
  • Lead data analysis and incident prevention efforts to improve investigation processes and enhance the corrective action management system.
  • Collaborate with HR and Facilities on wellness programs and ergonomic assessments, promoting a healthier and safer work environment.

 

What You Need to Succeed

  • Bachelor’s degree in Health and Safety or a related discipline, with 5+ years of experience in Occupational Health and Safety.
  • Extensive experience managing a wide range of health and safety risks, with a focus on prevention strategies and developing management systems.
  • Strong working knowledge of EU Directives, EMEA-specific Occupational Safety and Health standards, and non-regulatory safety standards.
  • Demonstrated success in building collaborative relationships with internal and external business partners to promote health and safety initiatives.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with a proven ability to negotiate successful outcomes with business leaders.
  • Strong project management and technical skills, able to explain complex health and safety issues in a clear and accessible manner.
  • Ability to manage multiple high-priority initiatives simultaneously and travel internationally as required to support global health and safety programs.
