The Opportunity: 

 

Working within Professional Services the EMEA Cloud Service Delivery (CSD) will delight customers by shortening Customer Acceptance Test (CAT) periods and supporting the Customer’s desire to get new B2B flows into production as quickly as possible.

The Associate Consultant will be expected to become familiar with all areas of Managed Service implementation – analysis, integration, map development, enablement and project management. The Associate Consultant will achieve this by actively learning, training and working on projects to become proficient in each of these areas allowing them to work on a variety of projects in different capacities.

 

The Associate Consultant will work closely with the project teams, create/update technical specifications and create/update maps using GXS Application Integrator (Data transformation software for any-to-any mapping) as well Opentext specific coding, setting up new trading partners or running small projects from start to finish.  Integration tasks are also required to deploy and test the updated maps as well as setup Trading Partner connectivity using common communications standards such as ftp, http, AS2, SFTP and routing using GXS Enterprise/TradeGuide.

The Associate Consultant can also work on implementation projects - acting as a primary point of contact for implementing customer´s requests regarding addition of new trading partners, document types, connection types.

 

What You Are Great At:

 

  • Carry out analysis of client’s Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) / Business to Business (B2B) requirements through to deployment of new maps and map changes for EMEA clients on Opentext GXS Managed Services platform.
    • Based on customer feedback or updated specifications, apply the changes or enhancements on the EDI Map data translation process or map logic using the Opentext specific coding language.

    • Follow policies and best practice mapping to define map rules based on client’s requirements.
    • All enhancements or changes to maps are tested to ensure no other code logic has been impacted and confirm new map works as expected before delivering to the customer by:
      • Creating test case scenarios and determining expected output according to the updated specifications.
      • Manipulating existing test files in order to test both positive and negative instances within the files to confirm added or enhanced logic would be correct in all instances.
      • Running the map with various scenarios locally to generate outputs based on each of the test scenarios.
      • Performing this functional testing for each field/segment with change.
    • Deployment/ Coding of maps and Standalone testing in the pre-production environment using Linux.
    • Investigate and conduct root-cause-analysis for issues/defects raised by client during client testing.
    • Deliver project status updates to clients, project managers and counterparts as necessary.

 

  • Working with project teams to improve time to revenue for new projects by engaging in a variety of different tasks:
    • Carry out analysis of client’s Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) / Business to Business (B2B) requirements through to deployment of new maps and map changes for EMEA clients on Opentext GXS Managed Services platform.
    • Based on customer feedback or updated specifications, apply the changes or enhancements on the EDI Map data translation process or map logic using the Opentext specific coding language.
    • Engage with trading community to help onboard client’s communities to the Opentext platform.
    • Engage the client for their requirements and the creation of technical specifications.
    • Assist PM with tasks with regards to tracking and monitoring

Must have:

  • Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment and be able to work independently
  • Strong Customer focus, customer satisfaction oriented

 

Desirable:

  • BSc in Management Information Systems or other technical discipline
  • Knowledge of EDI standards (EDIFACT, TRADACOMS, X12, VDA, XML), and B2B integration
  • Knowledge of EDI Mapping processes and Map Specifications
  • Previous experience working with code or developing.
  • Knowledge of communications standards such as ftp, AS2, https.
  • GXS Enterprise/Application Integrator Experience
  • Experience working in projects or PM experience
  • Additional European language – French or German
