The Opportunity:  

 

As a Renewals Account Representative, you will work with our customers to extend the maintenance contracts of the customers assigned to you on time and to build a close customer relationship through regular contact. The preparation of offers and the sale of additional products and services are among your main tasks, in addition to the successful extension of maintenance contracts. 

  

What you will do:  

 

  • Provide exceptional service by reaching out via phone and e-mail consistently and building strong customer relationships. In addition, it provides a consultative and proactive process to produce competitive renewal quotes.  
  • Consult with internal stakeholders to prepare renewal quotes, overcoming objections through the process of negotiation and adjusting quotes as required to ensure the competitiveness of the solution being presented to the customer.
  • Be a trusted advisor for the Customer for their support needs. Cultivating an environment of mutual value recognized between OpenText and our customers. 
  • Utilize departmental standard operating procedures to bring renewal contracts in at full value and on time.  
  • Take ownership of the contracts assigned to you. A strong sense of urgency is required to manage your portfolio resulting in full value, on-time renewals.  
  • Primary escalation points for the first-level issues and support both leadership and the Maintenance Renewal Specialists. 
  • Plan and assist with onboarding, training, and development of new hires and coaching/mentoring of existing team members.

  

What it Takes: 

 

  • A track record of experience in Renewals, Sales, Customer Success, or similar customer-facing roles. 
  • Excellent communication skills, written and spoken, strong listening skills, and experience in contract and pricing negotiation.
  • Solid sales skills with a customer focus. 
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills and the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
  • Experience in an outbound phone sales/support role 
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills. 
  • Fluency in Italian is required to support our Italian Market.
