Overview of Business Function
OpenText Cloud Operations is responsible for the global operations and delivery of our Open Text cloud services to clients in multiple industries. Our offerings range from shared, multitenant SaaS offerings to Managed Services supporting Enterprise Clients and are hosted on a variety of infrastructure platforms. The Cloud Operations team is responsible for defining the technical platform and partnering with our engineering and security teams to deliver solutions using a DevSecOps approach.
The Opportunity:
The OpenText Senior Systems Administrator will assist with general maintenance and upkeep of our global infrastructure services environment. Included in this; deploying changes, working with vendors, maintaining infrastructure, ensuring performance specifications are met for DNS, SMTP, NTP, and Windows in addition to other duties and protocols as directed. This person will participate in an on-call rotation to handle production impacting issues. The OpenText Senior Systems Administrator will report to the Senior Manager of Directory Services focusing on commercial business.

Supporting the Operations Organization by employing systematic efforts that translate operational infrastructure needs into configuration specifications which provide a robust, stable and maintainable Production Infrastructure Processing environment, meeting or exceeding all Business Requirements.
Primary Responsibilities:

Participate in strategic projects
-
Provide oversight of the global LDAP, DNS, SMTP and NTP footprint

Provide capacity forecasts based on usage and trending

Keep up to date with manufacturers product offerings
-
Provide Level3 expertise for break\fix issues

Ensure accurate and non-impactful changes are implemented in the production environment by working with technical services resources

24x7 on-call support on a rotating basis
What it Takes:
• B.S. in computer science / information systems or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Progressively responsible experience in;
• *NIX and Windows operating systems at an administrator level.
• Familiarity with InfoBlox administration would be a plus.
• Strong basis in SMTP technologies including BIND.
• Familiarity with Cisco ESA administration would be a plus.
• Two-factor authentication administration including Symantec VIP or equivalent technologies.
• VMWare administration experience would be a plus.
• Familiarity with workflow ticketing systems including HPSM or ServiceNow.
• A basic understanding of system administration, trouble-shooting and performance tuning of RedHat Enterprise Linux, HP-UX, Solaris & Windows Servers.
