Overview of Business Function 


OpenText Cloud Operations is responsible for the global operations and delivery of our Open Text cloud services to clients in multiple industries. Our offerings range from shared, multitenant SaaS offerings to Managed Services supporting Enterprise Clients and are hosted on a variety of infrastructure platforms. The Cloud Operations team is responsible for defining the technical platform and partnering with our engineering and security teams to deliver solutions using a DevSecOps approach.  


The Opportunity


OpenText is seeking a Telecom Analyst who is highly motivated, experienced and well-organized.  Reporting to the Manager, Commercial Network Services responsibilities will focus on the management of the circuits for our commercial environment. Creation, review and updating network documentation. Ability to turn up and configure circuits which include Internet, MPLS, P2P, DS3.  The position involves interaction with our Management, Telecom vendors and other stakeholders. 


You are great at:


    • Maintain and update Asset Manager (Inventory) system for the tracking of Telecom circuits. 
    • Creating Network Documentation.   
    • Working with Telecom Carriers to bring up circuits globally. 
    • Investigate and troubleshoot circuit issues with Carriers and internal teams.
    • Experience with WAN, Knowledge of service provider MPLS and Internet VPN
    • Must have a positive attitude while participating in after hour and weekend network maintenance.
    • Regularly interact with team members to assist in troubleshooting, and transfer of knowledge in effort to cross-pollenate others with the required knowledge to effectively support.


What it takes: 


  • Relevant Telecom experience working with Telecom providers in regard to installing, troubleshooting and turning up circuits.  
  • Computer Networking degree with equivalent work experience.
  • Well-developed interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize work load and tasks to meet established deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently and manage competing project/assignments.
  • Strong math skills and a working knowledge of GAAP.
  • Knowledge of SAP and/or HP Asset Manager a plus.
