The Opportunity


Carbonite is looking for a self-starter to join our growing team of Customer Success Associates (CSA) -- this is a great opportunity to start or grow your career in tech sales!


Our CSA’s are responsible for Carbsafe Business Renewals. . You will play a key role in our success by preventing customer churn, educating, and qualifying customers on all plan types and upselling to multiyear plans by telephone, email, and other means. CSA’s also assist in lead generation for Mid-Market growth and cross selling Webroot Antivirus to our Carbsafe customer base.


As a Customer Success Associate, preventing customer churn will be key in order for you to be successful. Customers churn for a variety of reasons. You will be tasked with determining why a customer is considering leaving and overcoming those reasons with your knowledge of disaster recovery and reminding the customer of the value our product offers.


Your First Six Months


  • Become fully acquainted with our culture, values, and environment
  • Learn sales systems and processes
  • Understand customer churn and how to prevent it
  • Understand our renewal territories and territory management
  • You’ll be fully trained in renewal territory management and ready to start generating leads for Mid-Market
  • Make approximately 45 calls per day to ensure we are reaching all customers that fall into our churn cycle.


Six to Twelve Months and Beyond


  • Establish yourself as advocate for our customers in the territory assigned
  • Work with Customer Success Managers in lead passing and lead sharing
  • Continue to build best practices to ensure your long-term success as a CSA


You Are Great At


  • A track record of good judgment and decision-making in positions with significant responsibility
  • Highly autonomous and able to independently identify high value projects and drive them completion
  • Demonstrated leadership capability in cross-functional team environments
  • High degree of comfort with complex technical environments
  • Having and being able to articulate/defend an informed opinion on important topics


What It Takes


  • Consumer or Business level agent level and above.
  • Strong history of sales success (I.C.E)
  • Excellent phone presence and interpersonal communication skills, both written and oral
  • Must thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
  • The desire to meet and exceed measurable performance goals
  • Salesforce CRM experience preferred.
