Sr. Software Engineer

This position is a lead software engineer with a focus on voice technologies with excellent communication skills. The key responsibilities may include:

  • Design enhancements, updates, and programming changes for portions and subsystems of enterprise-class application software
  • Analyzes requirements and determines the design, coding, programming, and integration activities required based upon general objects and knowledge of the overall architecture of product and solutions
  • Writes and executes testing plans, protocols, and deployment documentation for assigned portion of the application
  • Identifies debugs and creates solutions for issues with code and integration into application architecture
  • Participates in a team of software application engineers to develop reliable, cost-effective solutions of high quality
  • Collaborates and communicates with management and internal development partners (Product Management, Services/Operations, and Support Teams) regarding software application design status, project progress, and issue resolution
  • Represents the software applications engineering team for all phases of larger and more-complex development projects
  • Provides guidance and mentoring to less-experienced staff members and be a consultant to Senior Management when necessary to explain details around issues and solutions

You are great at:

  • Have a strong Windows Server and MS SQL Server background
  • Have a good working knowledge of IP Telephony (H.323, SCCP-Skinny, SIP, Unistim, etc.)
  • Deploy system automation technologies to streamline development, testing, and operational activities
  • Have strong interpersonal skills to work as a team player, a consultant to other organizations, and update Senior Management upon request
  • Help with packaging, documentation, implementation, and verification of WFO products
  • Provide Tier 3 technical support for new implementations, setups, and issues.
  • Be available on-call to provide support during major incident calls.
  • Have a good working knowledge of Windows Server, 
  • Have a working knowledge of automation tools

What it takes:

  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in computer science, software engineering, computer engineering, information systems, or related fields.
  • Minimum of 7 to 10 years of experience developing solutions with C++, C#, .NET development of client/server applications interfacing with a SQL database
  • Minimum 5 years of experience with CCaaS & CTI integration and other real-time feeds (Avaya TSAPI, Cisco ICM, Genesys T-Server, Twilio, RingCentral, etc.)
  • 5 years of experience in software development using encryption algorithms (AES, SRTP, TLS)
  • Knowledge of IP Telephony (H.323, SCCP-Skinny, SIP, Unistim, etc.)
  • Familiarity with backend databases like Oracle, SQL Server, and DB2.
  • Proven history of learning and implementing new technologies under pressure.
  • Must thrive in new product environments – those that frequently change and have time constraints.
  • Knowledge of Web Service, Web API software development
  • Experience using Microsoft software application design tools, source control tools, build environments and languages
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Software application testing methodology, including writing and execution of test plans, debugging and testing scripts and tools
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to effectively communicate product architectures, design proposals, and negotiate options at management levels
  • Collaborates with peers, junior engineers, technicians, and external design partners
