PS Project Manager – Associate Review Manager


The Opportunity:


The PS Project Manager is responsible for supervising and executing on multiple aspects of specific client matters, from review project planning, execution, supervision of assigned review team, quality control, and project closeout under the guidance of the review manager. This position reports directly to the Director of Managed Review and requires flexibility to work nights and weekends. 


You Are Great At:


  • Independently lead every OpenText Managed Review project.
  • Follow all workflows and guidelines in the OpenText Review Management Handbook.
  • Responsible for the direct and indirect supervision of assigned review teams.
  • Provide leadership to the department in support of the company’s initiatives and objectives as well as motivate the assigned review team to achieve high levels of success.
  • Identify shortcomings in delivery from OpenText and advise review management team to improve products and procedures.
  • Lead calls and meetings with counsel, clients, and other parties of interest in a review and team meetings with assigned review team.
  • Provide effective individual reviewer feedback during Individual Sample QC meetings.
  • Prepare QC folders (and searches related to same) and handoff folders.
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of Axcelerate and Insight’s functionality including Coding, Searching, Filtering, Foldering, and Dynamic Folders.
  • Prepare and distribute accurate client-facing reports.
  • Supervise the entire review process including Review, QC, Handoff, and Production.
  • Identify unexpected issues before document production and address them appropriately.
  • Work extra hours and weekends to meet client deadlines.
  • Provide effective feedback to reviewers and improve reviewer performance.
  • Work effectively in a team environment with members of the Professional Services department and other departments within the company as well as external teams such as law firms and corporate litigation departments.
  • Create project plans defining scope of work including lists of deliverables and deadlines, scheduling, resource allocation, reporting, and budgets and execute on these plans both directly and through the leadership of others.
  • Provide superior client service in demanding, deadline driven situations ensuring the delivery of quality work product within established time frames.
  • Ensure work product of assigned review team meets the standards of quality set forth in project plan and adhere to the quality standards established by the review management team.
  • Invoice clients for all managed review time and ensure that managed review team is doing the same for your assigned matters. 
  • Maintain all necessary documentation in the performance of your work including required project reporting, Decision Logs, Quality Control Logs, Third Party Lists, and Project Closeout Reports.



What It Takes:


  • Juris Doctor from an accredited university and Technical undergraduate degree preferred.
  • Active bar membership in the United States.
  • Worked in a Review Manager capacity and successfully completed projects.
  • Working knowledge of litigation lifecycle, EDRM, litigation document review and workflows, complex searches related to litigation, Technology Assisted Review and Continuous Active Learning.
  • Certified Insight User and Project Management Professional.
  • Organizes and expresses ideas clearly and concisely orally and in writing. Tailor’s content of communication to the level and experience of the audience. Ensures that others involved in a project, including senior management, are kept informed about developments and plans.
  • Shows commitment to lead through effectively demonstrating the character, experience, humility, wisdom, and discernment necessary to create the trust and influence to cause the right things, to happen for the right reasons, at the right times.
  • Maintains high standards with consistent attention to detail. Demonstrates competence and confidence internally and with clients, maintaining proper poise and etiquette. Acts ethically and is always accountable for actions. If mistakes happen, takes responsibility, and works to resolve the issue.
  • Forecasts accurately and helps ensure delivery against a plan. Identifies information needs and helps ensure systems / personnel are in place to deliver. Focuses on critical path and delivery on key priorities.
  • Acts with the realization that efficiency is vital to success. Makes decisions and drives activities to meet important windows of opportunity in the industry. Exhibits an appropriate sense of constructive energy and focus, particularly related to Strategic Corporate client relationships.
  • Develops and maintains a thorough understanding of the broad e-Discovery, ELM, EDRM marketplace and serves as an expert on the needs of corporate e-Discovery – identifying and pursuing new areas of expertise as OpenText’s solutions evolve.



For Colorado-based roles: Base Salary range $57,227 - $85,840.  You may also be offered additional benefits depending on the role
