OpenText Marketing is embarking on a growth journey to elevate our market presence, our employee experience, and how we can break through marketing programs.  We want to be a destination of where top Marketing talent choose to be, and we need a programmatic effort to attract and retain the best talent.  We are looking to gain market share, so we need cross-functional integrated marketing programs that pull together multiple disciplines.  Lastly, we are on the path or organic and inorganic growth, so we need to ensure we have marketing M&A discipline.

As a leadership team, we are seeking a highly enthusiastic individual who can help us build, drive, and deliver cross functional programs.  These programs may be employee engagement oriented for new hires, early career employees, mid-career team members, directors, new people managers, and seasoned OpenTexters.  The programs may also be helping the CMO and the MLT (marketing leadership team) drive program vision, planning, and execution programs that cross our various functions (e.g., rebranding efforts, integration efforts, incubation projects, etc.).  And lastly, programs may be across go-to-market, requiring the collaboration closely with product, engineering, sales, and other functions.     

In the next six months, we are looking to:


  • Build a consistent and impactful employee onboarding experience for all new Marketing hires and product a suite of manager tools for all Marketing managers (e.g., career path definitions for Marketing, coaching tools, wellness management tools, visibility to leadership / learning opportunities, etc.)  
  • Establish a differentiated cohort community experience for key cohorts (e.g., early career, first time managers, interns, new hires, etc.) – design, set, and execute the annual calendar of engagement points   
  • Initiate and execute a world-class CMO Academy and Rotation Program – research outside digital academies to bring to OpenTexters, establish inaugural rotation program for marketing
  • Lead programs from strategy to operations (e.g., simplification of brand naming architecture, retention and customer lifecycle marketing, OpenText University, competitive programs, M&A integration, etc.)  
  • Build a world class marketing organization through a distinct and special marketing culture

With the launch of these inaugural programs, we need a strategic thinker who can work with the Marketing Leadership team to operationalize our ideas.  This role will need to drive cross-functionally to stand up each program and evolve with the needs of the organization as we continue to grow.  We are looking for someone to new ideas and continuously raise the bar on how we do our work and develop our talent.




Leading and supporting the future generation of marketing talent!

Strategy & Program Management:


  • Collaborate with senior leaders to build & delivery of our Marketing strategic programs
  • Develop, structure, and lead projects to drive the successful execution of programs
  • Partner with critical cross-functional partners and leaders across the business to take a holistic approach and incorporate feedback
  • Marketing liaison to recruitment and HR on employee engagement programs
  • Track KPIs and provide program updates to the senior leadership team
  • Analyze feedback and results to identify trends and opportunities for improvement
  • Enhance the program competitiveness by staying abreast of changes in marketing, industry, and talent management best practices
  • Evangelize our ED&I initiatives and continue building a world-class workforce
  • For the CMO Academy & Rotation Program - work with Marketing leaders to:
    • Define rotations and select rotation assignments
    • Assign program members to rotations
    • Support managers in rotational performance reviews
    • Define/Develop/Maintain and coordinate Training program



  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Human Resources, Marketing, or related discipline
  • 8+ years of demonstrated success in program management with a focus on talent development, strategy, and learning
  • Respected as a collaborative partner with exceptional communication, presentation and influencing skills, someone who can work closely with technology leaders to develop our team members
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver desired outcomes in a robust, fast paced environment by leveraging organizational skills, setting goals, prioritizing activities, and managing multiple deliverables
  • Strategic thinker with strong business and analytical acumen who can work through challenges and find positive outcomes
  • Demonstrated ability to deal with ambiguity and seek for clarity independently, work effectively with remote, global teams in multiple time zones
  • Exposure to Marketing landscape; Content Marketing, Product Marketing, Industry Marketing, Campaign Development, Field Marketing, Customer Marketing, Digital Marketing
