Work with other senior architects in the Enterprise Architecture team for OpenText Engineering to influence OpenText solutions' direction, technology, and architecture. The Opportunity:


Compelling opportunity in the Enterprise Architecture team: You will be responsible for defining and evolving the platform architecture of the OpenText Trading Grid platform, a leading B2B and Cloud Integration platform. You will work with Cloud Architects and Product Managers to establish the technical strategy for the Trading Grid platform and then create blueprints for services and applications that comprise this platform. You will also work with Sales and Professional Services architects in solution ideation for customer opportunities. In addition to blueprint definition work, you will have a leadership role in defining standards and best practices and working as a mentor and an advisor for many engineering teams to help them conform to these standards.


You Are Great At


    1. Understanding, analyzing, and designing full stack applications – from backend services to UIs
    2. Good grasp of contemporary service development patterns and cloud architecture best practices
    3. Hands-on experience and architectural understanding of API first design approaches, various API styles, API ecosystem technologies
    4. Experience with design and development of multitenant cloud applications at high scale and high availability levels
    5. Good understanding of secure development practices, and hands-on experience with contemporary CI/CD tools and processes
    6. Ability to convert a problem into a project: Defining actions, responsibilities, milestones, and outcomes to drive the collaborative pursuit of a business goal
    7. Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills. Ability to tailor the message for executives as well as for development engineers



What It Takes


    1. Required: Java, JEE, REST Web Services, JavaScript, Contemporary CI/CD, Hyperscaler Cloud Experience, Docker, Kubernetes
    2. Desired: Spring Boot, Kafka, ElasticSearch, ActiveMQ
    3. Postgres, Oracle, Cassandra,
    4. 10+ years of overall experience with at least 5 years of application architect responsibilities
    5. Demonstrated ability to architect highly available, high volume transaction and messaging systems based on open systems hardware and software
