Principal Product Manager (m/f/d) OpenText solutions in the SAP Eco System

We are looking for a dynamic and innovative Principal Product Manager (m/f/d) to join our dynamic and fast-paced international team responsible for our well-established product OpenText Vendor Invoice Management (VIM) for SAP Solutions. Vendor Invoice Management is one of OpenText’s most successful solutions in the SAP space. Focus of this position is the VIM foundation platform and the VIM solutions beyond finance (e.g. Sales Order automation, automation of incoming Purchase-to-Pay documents). 


Your key responsibilities will be to define the product strategy and roadmap and to execute the roll-out of new product versions to the OpenText field organization as well as to the OpenText partner’s ecosystem. In collaboration with you Product Management peers and the developer team you will prioritize feature development and deliver new versions of the product in time and in quality. You will be responsible to make the latest versions and features available on the central demo system.

Product managers work closely with their counterparts in the OpenText go-to-market team to ensure the product roadmap can meet the requirements of the business plan and can be successfully rolled out.

  • Staying on top of market trends, technology advances and competitive offerings
  • Creating and maintaining a compelling product strategy and vision and conveying this information to executives as well as to key global customers and partners
  • Translating market and customer requirements into a product roadmap and working closely with our global R&D teams to deliver according to a business plan with short time-to-market windows 
  • Collaborating with worldwide product management and go-to-market teams to coordinate roadmaps and go-to-market activities
  • Interaction with business and technical stakeholders both internal and external facing like engineers, consultants, sales representatives, partners and customers
  • Presenting in presales demos, workshops and on customer events


This is what we expect from you: 

  • A degree in Computer Science or equivalent preferred 
  • Proven ability to manage products through their entire lifecycle or similar senior project management experience working with diverse teams
  • Experience in agile software development approach and tools 
  • Ability to quickly learn new technologies and translate technical jargon into quantifiable business benefits (and vice versa)
  • Good general understanding of processes and transactions in SAP ECC and SAP S/4HANA 
  • Insight into Procure to Pay, Order to Cash processing and knowledge of SAP technology areas like ABAP, Fiori and SAP BTP is not a must, but advisable
  • Experience in IT fields like Automation, Process Analytics, Machine Learning, AI, Cloud, Software Bots is a plus
  • You are a team player and a networker 
  • Prepare to do occasional travel 
  • Fluent in English, Good German languages skills (or willingness to acquire)
