Lead Technical Consultant

Responsible for the development of an overall technical solution design to match business requirements for a particular application or suite of applications and associated infrastructure based on OpenText-related technologies, like xECM, Content Server or Process Suite.

Develops OpenText technical architecture and delivery governance standards to maximise flexibility and efficiency to meet future business requirements and minimise system support costs and technology risk.

Analyse current and forecast OpenText application and services requirements to create technical infrastructure deployment plans to ensure cost-effective and efficient applications roll-out and support; taking full account of technical architecture standards and operational performance, reliability and availability requirements.

The role of the solution architect will include:

• Analysis of client technical requirements
• Translation of business requirements into a technical design
• Infrastructure Design based on:
  • Optimum configuration for client requirements
  • Product usage
• Application Design
• Third party application integration design
• Network and hardware infrastructure guidance
• System Sizing

What is expected:

• Strong communications skills – verbal, written and presentation, in English
• Good analytical and problem solving skills
• Strong general knowledge of IT industry and understanding of platform, operating system, network and database technologies
• 2 years experience in the design and implementation of ECM systems – preferably utilising  OpenText technology
• Demonstrable experience in the design of enterprises wide ECM solutions
• Practical knowledge of industry development environments with respect to Application Servers
• Practical knowledge of Java/XML/XSL/etc.
• Demonstrate experience in a similar capacity in a number of successful projects
• Sound understanding of the solution delivery life cycle
