YOUR IMPACT

At OpenText, we are looking for a motivated, highly passionate professional for the Connect development team. The candidate must have the experience, talent, skill set, and confidence to work with a world-class development team at the OpenText office. The team focus is to develop first class synchronization product to sync various data types of data between different OpenText products.

What The Role Offers

As a Principle Software Engineer in Software Development, you will:

• You will provide technical leadership on design and architecture of Highly Scalable, Distributed and Cloud enabled Open Text Documentum Applications product suite with direct customer impact
• You are responsible to ensure development of technical designs, architectural decisions and interaction with customers and product management team to provide technical direction and visions
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, with scalable and cloud compliant designs and within agreed upon quality standards
• Work closely with cross-functional teams within OpenText and partner with key stakeholders.
• You will also be involved in cross-team planning activities such as providing status updates and coordinating activities
• You will contribute directly to product/applications development, taking the responsibility for, handling key development tasks, owning few modules/functionalities, delivering results, communicating team status/progress vis-a-vis deliverables.
• You have good software development skills and should have right attitude to learn and actively participate in product development.

What you will need to succeed:

• 12+ Years related experience, of which at least 4+ years in design and architecture role or similar positions.
• Hands on experience in modern Java, Docker Containers, Kubernetes and Rest Services, Spring, and Angular, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, NodeJS or any other UI technologies.
• Proficient in Java (Core & Advanced), J2EE and REST API development.
• Working knowledge of open-source technologies for UI, Rest services and containerization, exposure to Cloud technologies and Hyperscale’s such as GCP.
• Good exposure and understanding on SQL and PLSQ
• Exposure to DevOps practices and applications development
• Should have excellent communication skills both written and oral.
• Must be Proactive and result oriented.
• People with experience in scrum way of software development will be preferred.
