This position involves being part of a dynamic team environment responsible for managing, developing, and supporting business solutions to meet business requirements in the areas of JIRA and Confluence. 

The position will be primarily focused on the JIRA and Confluence systems used by Internal OpenText employees.  You will enhance and support our Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) using JIRA. This position also expects you to manage the merges and acquisitions and maintaining the JIRA environments globally.  


You are great at:


  • Complete end-end support on Jira and Confluence
  • Data migrations from other Bug Tracking tools to Jira.
  • Integration of Jira with version control tools
  • Application and Web Server administration
  • Investigate and fix advanced (3rd level) application issues
  • Identify, create, document and implement processes that provide additional efficiencies for the team.


What it takes: 


  • A bachelor’s degree, College diploma or equivalent experience
  • 4+ years of experience is Atlassian tools administration
  • Development experience working with Microsoft SQL server or equivalent and strong application troubleshooting skills
  • Good Tomcat and Apache knowledge.
  • Strong Windows and Linux OS administration skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills (English)
  • Knowledge on Shell/Python/Perl scripting will added advantage.
  • Experience with working or developing in any one of the following programming languages: Java, JavaScript, Perl, HTML 5, and Web services like JSON, REST
  • Experienced in the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) processes including customer requirement analysis and system design and Agile Development Methodology
  • Experience in integration of JIRA with Perforce, TFS, Confluence, Git, SubVersion
  • Experience in development of custom Plugins for JIRA/Confluence and reports
