The Opportunity:

OpenText SAP VIM - Lead Consultant (Managed Services)

 

The resource will be part of a Managed Services team providing Application Management and Maintenance for OpenText customers spread across the globe. Wide breadth of skills enabling one to solve complex problems in the areas of Application Availability, Performance and Capacity both in terms of incidents and problems. Experience in Production Operations (or Support) plus Software Maintenance (bug fixing, code maintenance) are a must.

 

You are great at

 

  • Install, configure, maintain, and monitor one or more OpenText (OT) products/solutions in any Cloud, Customer premises especially on OpenText VIM product.
  • Troubleshoot and find resolutions/workarounds to incidents.
  • Design, develop and test fixes for problems arising on top of customizations to OT products.
  • Strong HANA, MS SQL, Oracle DB skills are required.
  • Research and fix problems in configuration mainly at Application Level, also demonstrating adequate knowledge of OS and Network as applications work in that context. Problems can be related to availability, performance, or capacity.
  • Assist the project team in the development of customizations.
  • Work on performance tuning is must.
  • Performing deployments and applying product patches. Perform Upgrades, Migrations.
  • Work in shifts: Morning, Regular, Afternoon and Night on rotation basis.
  • Providing the easy solutions for complex problems is mandatory.
  • Quick resolutions of production issues or Quick work arounds are mandatory for production issues.
  • Technically guide the team and assist the team on issue resolutions and providing the solution.
  • Interacting with multiple customers and onsite counterparts.
  • Ready to take the complete technical responsibilities for multiple customers.
  • Understand the complete Business use case dedicated to each customer which involves multiple integrations.

 

 

What it takes

 

Skill set required:

 

Between 8 to 12 years of experience supporting OpenText VIM including development and maintenance of customizations. Exposure to remote administration services, or cloud operations environment. 

 

Technical skills:

  • You are strong and have extensive expertise in Open Text VIM with both ECC and S4 HANA.
  • You are strong at ABAP Programming (Certification preferred).
  • VIM implementation, testing and troubleshooting/support - preferably VIM version 16.3 + (version 7.5 at a minimum).
  • Experience with custom development/ extensions in VIM.
  • Experience with PO, Non-PO and downpayment processes in VIM.
  • Experience in SAP VIM workflows and troubleshooting.
  • Experience and configuration knowledge in VIM - Invoice Capture Center (ICC/BCC), IC4S, Open Text Archive Server, Validation Client, and Enterprise scan tool.
  • You are good to have knowledge on Document Pipeline
  • You are good to have knowledge on VIM SAP FIORI Apps
  • Strong knowledge of FI process - AP and MM processes
  • Experience and responsibility for gathering requirements, Design, configuring the system, testing, training, and supporting the project go-live.

Excellent communication / presentation / verbal and written communication skills.
