The Opportunity

Technical Support Specialists are responsible for delivering highest quality technical support on OpenText products, addressing the customer’s concerns not just at a technical level but also from a customer service perspective.  Our Technical Support Specialist position offers you an opportunity to learn exciting technologies and exercise critical and creative thinking as you’ll work on unique customer issues to provide resolutions, in addition to working on cutting-edge Cybersecurity and Forensic Technologies that enables a better customer experience.

 

You are great at

  • Represent OpenText acting as first point of contact for all technical support inquiries

  • Incident management and collaboration with other teams while adhering to SLA’s and KPI’s

  • Utilize exceptional written and verbal communication skills while supporting customers while demonstrating a high level of customer focus and empathy

  • Meet established service delivery guidelines and key performance indicators that are measured through customer satisfaction surveys

  • Collaborate with various stakeholders to act as a trusted customer advocate

 

What it takes

  • 2 - 4 years of prior experience working on relevant technologies

  • Focused on scoping problems and strong troubleshooting ability

  • University/College degree within a related discipline

  • Willingness to work in shifts during weekdays and on-call during weekends

  • Solid foundation working with Unix/Linux and Windows Operating Systems.

  • Experience with Apple Mac OS (APFS) along with MDM a plus.

  • Knowledge of enterprise networking, including VLAN, TAP/SPAN, & port mirroring.

  • Knowledge of web servers such as IIS.

  • Experience working with RDBMS such as Microsoft SQL Server an asset.

  • Strong Networking Knowledge – including experience working with monitoring and capture tools such as Wireshark, Fiddler, Charles, or other PCAP (Network Packet Capturing) Software.

  • Splunk or SIEM (Security Information and Event Management) experience preferred.

  • Network and Security working experience a plus

  • NDR (Network Detection and Response) and / or XDR (Extended Detection and Response) experience

  • Security implementation; with experience working with cryptography, PKI, SSL, and certificates a plus

  • Application debugging or programming skills would be an asset.

  • AWS/Azure/Google Cloud experience a plus

  • Cyber Security, Endpoint Security, Information Assurance (eDiscovery) experience is highly desired.

  • Experience with digital forensic acquisition tools like Tableau or other write blockers a plus.
