The Opportunity: 

The OpenText Professional Services team is comprised of more than 3,000 consultants who act as trusted advisors, managing long-lasting relationships with more than 100,000 customers around the world.

 

The Lead Consultant in the Professional Services organization is a contributor to the achievement of department goals and initiatives, while at the same time managing and executing delivery of customer engagements. The Lead Consultant drives the success of each project to ensure customer satisfaction, establishes a solid working relationship and builds on that foundation to develop future engagements.

 

This role works closely with customers and other Professional Service Consultants in the delivery of Open Text engagements, as well as with the Account Executives, Practice and Client Managers throughout the sales and delivery cycles.

 

What You Are Great At: 

  • Delivering Professional Services engagements with confidence and high quality.
  • Demonstrating technical leadership with OpenText’s ECM Products Suite.
  • Understanding and translating customer business requirements into a solution that best utilizes OpenText product functionality.
  • Working in conjunction with Open Text colleagues to implement technical configurations.
  • Contributing to project documentation, including, but not limited to requirements document, technical design, test plans, and knowledge transfer documentation.
  • Delivering presentations, workshops, and live demonstrations to a mixed audience of technical, business, and management staff.
  • Demonstrating strong customer-facing skills by building and maintaining positive customer relationships and translating them into long term benefits for both companies. 
  • Provides expert incident and problem management for high impact and critical customer issues and ensures root-cause analysis is conducted and a corrective action plan is followed through with any learning applied for future benefit.
  • Escalate issues, as needed, to keep projects on target (within established parameters) and proactively work to resolve issues that may impact customer satisfaction or SLA.
  • Define and/or verify scope and delivery parameters in proposals and statements of work and provide Change requests when required.
  • Identifies opportunities and maximizes services revenues within the customer base

  

Desired Skills & Experience 

  • Experience in a Professional Services environment managing large and complex Enterprise Content Management solution projects.
  • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Technology having worked a minimum of 10 years in a consulting environment.
  • Experience in project management.
  • PMP, ITIL or equivalent certifications will be nice to have
  • English Language: Strong interpersonal, verbal and writing skills
  • Ability to manage project teams composed of consultants located worldwide.
  • Strong attention to detail, disciplined, self-starter, and innovative.
  • Technical Experience delivering Content Server, or Documentum or other OpenText solutions.
  • Highly professional team player with the ability to work independently, while being part of a dynamic team.
  • Knowledge and understanding of on-premises and cloud enterprise software deployments.
  • A solid grasp of a variety of technologies that include development languages, tools, web-based technology that could be involved in an OpenText solution (i.e., Java Scripts, SOAP, Web Services, J2EE, Database, SQL, HTML5).
  • Strong analytical, technical and problem-solving skills.
