The Opportunity:
The Lead Accountant for Project and Process Improvements will lead, facilitate, and drive continuous improvement initiatives, efficiency and effectiveness-driven projects, and automation implementations across finance processes. The role provides support towards continuous improvement like Six Sigma to create and enhance value for customers and stakeholders.
You are great at:
- Manage projects, track, and report progress to completion of projects such as the transition of processes from Corporate Accounting and/or Controllership to GSSC (Global Shared Service Center) or vice versa in relation to business growth.
- Track and lead training requirements for the learning and development of each team member.
- Lead process automation to improve efficiency in business processes.
- Lead and manage the integration of newly acquired entities, new processes, and system transformation.
- Develop and manage process improvement initiatives and collaborate with functional teams and PMOs to drive quality performance.
- Initiate and lead other projects/activities that would support the strategic plan for the team and the transformation of the processes.
- Lead the Business Continuity Plan and recovery procedures for GSSC.
- Research and development for organizational needs and growth.
- Supports other assignments and ad hoc matters as required.
What it takes:
- Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's/College Degree in Accountancy, Business, or Finance related courses.
- Requires at least 8+ years of combined experience in professional accounting and operational excellence preferably in a shared service or BPO industry.
- Must be an excellent communicator both verbal and written, with strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills, and has demonstrated ability to influence leaders through insightful and data-driven recommendations.
- Experience in Leading Operational Excellence, Business Reporting, Problem Solving, and Project Management tools such as Six Sigma, Kaizen, Design Thinking, Agile, and Research.
- Ability to negotiate and compromise among business partners with competing priorities.
- Ability to work with multiple priorities, handle several projects, and work independently with minimum supervision while meeting critical deadlines.
- Willing to work flexible hours.
