The Opportunity:
As a Lead Security Analyst, you will be focused on providing subject matter guidance, tactical direction, and escalation support to Senior Security Analysts to ensure that our Identity and Access Management (IAM) operations and initiatives align to stringent industry standards and meet business requirements.
Following the strategic direction of the Validation Team Manager, you are expected to implement initiatives that drive the development of the team’s metrics and lead projects that are aimed toward the continuous improvement of processes, methodologies, and tools.
From a functional point-of-view, you will also provide process-related coaching to Senior Security Analysts in aid of their performance development and provide feedback to the Team Manager.
You will also be coordinating with internal stakeholders to drive initiatives and represent the GIS Validation team as the technical lead and point of contact with internal clients and vendors.
IDENTITY AND ACCESS MANAGEMENT
- Provide tactical guidance to Senior Analysts in the administration, logistics, and monitoring involved in the provision and revocation of internal OpenText privileged user accounts in the commercial environment
- Spearhead various types of security reviews to ensure the appropriateness of user access rights and validate that only legitimate, authenticated users have access to Commercial systems
- Report daily, weekly, and monthly Access Review metrics and provide sound analysis of the current operational state to aid in the strategic management of IAM programs
- Take ownership of Access Review audit deliverables and closely work with compliance counterparts to ensure timely adherence to audit requirements
- Review, document, and continuously improve Validation Team processes by proactively identifying gaps, resolving issues, and collaborating with stakeholders to implement improvement initiatives
- Keep an up-to-date understanding of Access Management Security standards and best practices
ADMINISTRATIVE TASKS
- Creation of management reports.
- Managing the day-to-day activities of the team and providing timely updates to the management.
- Delegating tasks to team members.
- Conducting one-on-one technical coaching of team members to maximize their potential, address performance opportunities and resolve operational challenges.
- Immediately addressing escalations and conducting root-cause analysis to implement operational adjustments that prevent issues from recurring.
- Analyzing gaps and addressing them by leading the team in formulating and implementing process improvement initiatives.
YOU ARE GREAT AT:
- Leading the creation of metrics and reports to track the efficiency and effectiveness of processes and communicate performance measurements to the management.
- Analyzing data and applying methodologies to process information at any given criteria.
- Prioritizing tasks, management of multiple initiatives and delivery of outputs within agreed and reasonable timelines.
- Documenting procedures and organizing them in accordance with the requirements of the business.
- Understanding and adapting to different systems and tools that are being utilized to deliver day-to-day operations.
- Working with various stakeholders to gather information and provide findings in support of compliance activities.
- Demonstrating problem-solving strategies to analyze process gaps, resolve issues, and propose solutions.
- Any Information Security Certification is a plus.
WHAT IT TAKES:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in an information security role
- A bachelor's degree in Information Technology or any related field
- Relevant experience in leading projects or process improvement initiatives
- Strong technical, analytical, interpersonal, communication, writing, and business presentation skills
- Keen attention to detail
- Ability to work both independently and within a global team environment
- Demonstrates strong behavioral competencies such as decision-making, problem-solving, and teamwork.
- Knowledge of best practices, emerging trends, and existing threats related to Firewall Management service
- Experience with firewall analysis tools is a plus
