The Opportunity:

The Billing Operations Manager leads billing delivery excellence with their team and supports their leaders by implementing on our Billing strategy. He/She brings their excellent customer service and business partner skills, leadership capabilities and business acumen to support order to cash efficacy. Integrations are a way of life at OpenText, so you lead change in your everyday approach with your team, peers and other key stakeholders in delivering on the Billing mandate.

 

You Are Great At:

  • Lead a team of Billing Coordinators and Representatives to deliver on Billing targets, effectively partnering on billing issues to support cash collection targets and bringing your team along to implement on the Order to Cash strategy;
  • Responsible to provide inputs to your leader on workforce planning to continuously assess and recommend plans for right skills in right place at right time for your team;
  • Responsible for assisting leader in identifying process improvements to align with process automation goals;
  • Lead change with your peers and others as we evolve with acquisitions;
  • Accountable to ensure Standard Operating Procedures (SOPS) are aligned across the regions where applicable to support continued process automation;
  • Accountable for ensuring your team is engaged and properly trained to ensure we protect OpenText’s brand on legal and financial policies, and other internal controls;
  • Deliver on other priorities as assigned to execute on the Billing Mandate.

 

What It Takes:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience leading teams; Global experience in the software services, or high- tech industry preferred
  • Demonstrated HR acumen to effectively on board and support team through all aspects of the team member lifecycle (effective hiring, developing, training, performance managing, rewards, career growth, off boarding)
  • Excellent customer service and business partner skills and experience;
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal to inspire the billing excellence story
  • Exceptional organizational skills, with an ability to balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, including month end, quarter end and year end delivery
  • Self-starter with a continuous improvement mindset
  • Excellent team player, knowing your best is when you collaborate and engage to find solutions to problems
  • Business focus, initiative and proven experience implementing process improvements
  • Demonstrated change leadership capabilities, with the ability to instill resilience in an ever-changing environment
  • An understanding of revenue recognition principles in the software industry is an asset
  • Working knowledge of the opportunity to cash business process
  • Audit experience or experience improving internal controls within a Sarbanes Oxley framework
  • Strong computer literacy; working knowledge of SAP, Salesforce and Changepoint an asset
  • Ability to analyze data and make recommendations to improve on billing delivery
