The opportunity:
The People Manager is responsible for managing / overseeing the entire team. Ensure timely delivery, within budget and with high quality of service. Should be able to plan, organize, lead, control and continuous improvement required for the efficient and effective operations of the entire Cloud Service Delivery that will ultimately contribute to the overall success of the company.
The People Manager acts as the people manager of the area/team he/she is responsible for and owns resource management, project allocation, employee development and supervision of operational delivery. He/she ensures compliance to operational objectives, delegating assignments to subordinate staff as necessary. Manages the coordination of activities, with responsibility for results, setting goals and objectives, staffing, and performance management. Ensures cost avoidance and mitigation to comply to the budget.
You are great at:
- Cascade the performance goals and measures down to the GEO team members.
- Accomplishes staff results by communicating job expectation; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, mentoring, and disciplining employees; developing, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures.
- Maintains staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees, maintaining a safe and secure work environment developing personal growth opportunities.
- Accomplishes resource management by forecasting demand and capacity, analyzing variances and initiating corrective actions.
- Maintains quality service by enforcing quality and organization standards; analyzing and resolving quality and customer service problems; identifying trends; recommending improvements.
- Actively monitor Change Management related activities
- Conduct team monthly team meetings to provide business/organization/team updates and directions.
- Actively work with the Senior Manager and Director in formulating action and improvement plans.
- Monitor deliverables of the team members and ensure that key items are tracked through to completion.
- Be available to receive escalations and participate in resolution activities as needed.
- Monitor throughput of each team member and identify potential roadblocks preventing the individual from meeting the target.
- Understand demand and supply patterns and proactively assess team level requirements to ensure highest utilization possible.
- Ensure visibility and awareness on project timeline deliverables of team members.
- Represents Solution team in inter-organization collaboration meetings.
- Responsible for a team of 10-20 employees.
What it takes:
- Possess strong understanding of quality frameworks as Six Sigma, ITIL, ISO or the like.
- Good understanding of various discipline areas as Solutions Implementation, Solutions Management, Support Operations.
- Possess effective communication skills, written and verbal.
- Background in Supply Chain and Electronic Data Interchange standards, as applicable for the BU.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related degree or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of relevant people leadership experience and highly developed technical skills gained through experience as Project/Technical/Operations Manager.
- Customer focus, customer satisfaction oriented.
- Attention to detail and process, collaborative and adaptable.
- Interpersonal skills including a demonstrated ability to partner with others and be able manage complex relationships.
- Excellent people manager, open to direction and commitment to get the job done.
- Ability to plan, execute, monitor and control project activities.
- Ability to simply and clearly articulate technical instructions.
- Quick learner and able to retain a broad range of information in a rapid and complex technical environment.
- Handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment and be able to work independently. Must possess effective time management skills.
