Your Impact:

The Principal Software Engineer for the Straight-Through Process (STP) is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining software solutions that automate financial transactions, reducing manual intervention, and improving efficiency. This role requires a strong understanding of financial market concepts, programming languages, and system architecture. It primarily involves creating Java applications on a small and large scale. In addition, the engineer is responsible for offering technical solutions to intricate requirements and serving as a subject matter expert for the project team.

What the role offers:

• Software Development: Write clean, efficient, well-documented code primarliy using Java.
• Integration: Integrate STP systems with various financial market infrastructures, including trading platforms, clearing houses, and settlement systems.
• Testing: Conduct thorough testing to identify and resolve defects in the STP software.
• Maintenance: Provide ongoing support and maintenance for existing STP systems, addressing issues and implementing enhancements.
• Problem-Solving: Troubleshoot technical problems and provide solutions to ensure the smooth operation of STP processes.

What you need to succeed:

• Bachelor’s/College Degree in Computer Science/ Information Technology or equivalent in relevant discipline.
• 8 to 10 years of primarily relevant experience with highly developed professional/technical skills.
• Experience implementing (coding & unit testing) detailed design into application functionalities using Java/JEE as the primary development language.
• Knowledge of JEE Web Services Technologies: e.g., JAXB, Java APIs for XML Messaging.
• Knowledge in enterprise design (Object Oriented Design, SOA, Domain Driven, etc).
• Sufficient knowledge and experience in the following: Design Patters; Framework (e.g. Spring, Hibernate, etc.); JEE (Java Platform, Enterprise Edition); Database; OS Platform; Application Servers; and Other Development Technologies & Tools.
