Sr. Business Systems Analyst

The Opportunity:

 

The Sr. Business Systems Analyst performs analysis of the company’s business operations to meet specific strategic goals. The main responsibility for this role is to assist in projects and change requests particularly in Process Design, Process Re-engineering, and Process Documentation. The role includes performing and coordinating tests to ensure that changes in the system pass the requirements of the business.

 

The Sr. Business Systems Analyst will be part of a team that provides support, education and coordinates system improvements and enhancements with business users from various functional groups.

 

The duties and responsibilities of this role include the following:

  • Provide support to business users on systems issues by performing ticket triage and providing responses with solutions as needed.
  • Assist users in generating business requirements and gap analysis for projects and change requests.
  • Assist in the preparation of test plans for the projects and change requests.
  • Performs Quality Assurance Testing (QAT2) to ensure that the changes/enhancements developed were in accordance too the specifications of the business.
  • Prepare user training documentation/SOPs for new functionality developed through projects or change requests.
  • Provide period end support to business users as required.
  • Conduct training to business users on new functionalities of the system.
  • Assist in gathering audit evidence to complete various SOX and other Compliance requirements for IT Group.
  • Work with SAP Security Team to ensure business users are provided with the needed access without resulting to SoD violations.

What it takes:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in business or accounting.
  • At least 5 years of experience in using SAP in Financial Accounting and Controlling (SAP FICO) and/or Sales and Distribution (SAP SD)
  • Strong understanding of key business processes in Order to Cash (OTC),
  • Experience using Excel to perform data operations, e.g. working with data types, VLOOKUP’s, pivot tables, etc.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in your work.
  • Knowledge or experience using SAP Sales and Distribution (SD), AuditBoard, Salesforce, Assure, Siebel, Changepoint, OpenAir, ServiceNow, VIM, Winshuttle, and HPALM is an asset.
