Sr. Manager, Billing Operations

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

 

  • Lead their team to deliver on Billing targets, effectively partnering on billing issues to support cash collection targets and bringing your team along to implement on the Order to Cash strategy;
  • Ability to translate business strategies into operational goals and ensuring priorities are clear
  • Establish Billing operational objectives, delegating assignments to billing staff. Manages the coordination of O2C activities, with responsibility for results, setting goals and objectives, staffing, and performance management
  • Makes multiple O2C decisions using in-depth knowledge or skills at the project / departmental level, including resolution of problems and the development and implementation solutions
  • Promotes an effective team environment through clear communication of assignments and provision of feedback. Responsible for providing input into O2C goals and objectives. Acts as mentor, effectively demonstrates leadership attributes, shares O2C expertise
  • Interact with internal and external client groups at all levels as well as with senior management and executives internally to represent the Billing requirements and strategy. Independently gain cooperation and commitment through personal persuasiveness, often in time sensitive situations. Interacts on behalf of the functional team to contribute to the overall delivery of O2C objectives.
  • Reviews proposed policy changes relevant to their area of accountability, implementing necessary changes
  • Oversees adherence to existing SOX Controls, partnering with the Business Process Manager and Internal Audit to implement necessary changes or build new controls
  • Responsible for workforce planning to continuously assess and implement plans for right skills in right place at right time for your team;
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, supporting process improvements implemented by the team and influencing stakeholder buy-in to drive value within OpenText;
  • Lead change with your peers and others as we evolve with acquisitions
  • Accountable to ensure your team is engaged and properly trained to ensure we protect OpenText’s brand on legal and financial policies, and other internal controls;
  • Deliver on other priorities as assigned to execute on the Billing Mandate.
  • Approving requests according to OT A&A
  • Reviews and analyzes key operational metrics and provides relative insights and feedback regarding continuous improvement opportunities.
