Sr. Security Disaster Recovery Analyst

The Opportunity: 

OpenText is seeking an IT Disaster Recovery Analyst for our IT Compliance (ITC) and IT Disaster Recovery Program (IT DRP). The IT Disaster Recovery Analyst will provide supporting services to this program as part of the IT Compliance and Global Information Security (GIS) organization. This role will be responsible for developing, revising, and/or executing against ITC and IT DRP frameworks, policies, procedures, processes, controls, and projects. Communication and partnership with internal teams will be required to handle and carry out requests and ongoing operational services in support of OpenText’s complete GIS, ITC and IT DRP initiatives.


You Are Great At: 

•Assists in the development, maintenance, publishing, enforcement, and exception handling of corporate information security policies, standards, process, procedures, and controls.
•Provides oversight and/or project management for process improvement initiatives to support the IT Compliance organization and associated IT compliance controls.
•Supports effort to strategize, prioritize, and plan for the future of IT compliance and IT disaster recovery through global risk assessments and/or business impact analysis taking into consideration requirements, opportunities, and risks of various stakeholders.
•Identifies opportunities for risk mitigation against risk assessments, compliance requirements, or compliance controls.
•Provides leadership and ownership for compliance control gap assessments, compliance control remediation, IT DRP test exercises, and acceptance sign-offs, status meetings, and completion of associated documentation.
•Assists in the proposal of business specific appropriate recovery strategies, and analysis of recommended disaster recovery plans.
•Participates with PMO, Change Management, Incident Management, or other IT operations as it relates to ITC and IT DRP activities.
•Monitors, coordinates, and develops plans for the assessment and implementation for adherence with applicable laws, regulations, contracts, or business requests.
•Gathers and preserves evidence and artifacts in response to internal audits, external audits, and requests for information from existing and prospective customers.
•Documents intake requests, customer requirements and associated documentation as required by contract or defined practices.
•Identifies opportunities while creating and improving processes through simplification or automation.
•Develops and maintains adequate documentation to execute planned events.


What It Takes: 

•Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Sciences, Business or related vocations.
•3years experience working in IT Disaster Recovery or similar functions.
•Specific experience in Information Security, Compliance, or Risk Management is a plus.
•Experience with ISO 27001, ISO 22301 or similar standards (NIST, FFIEC) is a plus.
•Demonstrated experience and leadership in navigating through complex, abstract, or stressful projects and situations.
•Experience working with projects and teams in a cross-functional and/or geographically dispersed environment to meet goals on multiple projects and/or objectives.
•Demonstrated ability in working with diverse and complex business problems.
•Strong skills in relationship management and working in a team environment.
•Ability to effectively prioritize work load and tasks to effectively meet established deadlines.
•Strong technical, analytical, interpersonal, communication and writing skills.
• IT, Security, Audit, Disaster Recovery, Business Continuity, Six Sigma, and/or Project Management certifications a plus.
•Demonstrated ability to understand and follow complex business processes and to utilize content management tools.
•Demonstrated strength in working in a high change environment.
•Strong personal characteristics as demonstrated by the following: achievement-oriented, self-controlled, self-confident, flexible, approachable, and dedicated.
