As a member of our global Engineering team remotely based in the United Kingdom, you will support your teams in the planning, development, and delivery of several core products. Specific Objectives and Responsibilities

You will provide agile coaching and support as needed at a local level to enable  and support self-managing teams implementing different agile frameworks in collaboration with development leadership and will be a key influencer in the global Engineering organization overall by encouraging the adoption of  agile development best practice in collaboration with the global ATC team and peers from Product and Program Management.

 

 In addition you will support the development and implementation of our global release processes and will support the release of all software ensuring it meets all the key guidelines for quality and release readiness, guiding the team where necessary to ensure release delay is minimised and post deployment issues avoided.

 

Success Factors 

 What will make you successful at Carbonite + Webroot:

An open minded, flexible but principled approach to the application of agile development principles based strongly on the agile manifesto and not biased to any one agile framework is a must. Couple that with excellent communication, strong initiative, and a collaborative spirit expressed through servant leadership and you will bring the right character to the role. If you can apply that in a flexible and creative approach to  bring teams together to solve complex problems and gain the trust and support of your peers, product management and development leaders, then you will go far.

 

Skills & Experience

  • Intimate understanding of the agile manifesto as well as frameworks such as Scrum and Kanban
  • Strong people, relationship, and facilitation skills – you must be able to build and maintain strong working relationships and adjust your communication approach for different audiences.
  • Be assertive as necessary, and not afraid to identify responsible parties, schedule meetings, and pick up the phone.
  • Ability to identify potential problems, blockers, schedule issues and to quickly identify stakeholders needed to resolve and organize appropriately.
  • Ability to solve problems using a combination of soft-skills/relationship building and creative troubleshooting
  • Experience using a backlog management tool, Jira and Confluence expertise is a plus.
  • Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to operate in a cross cultural globally diverse organization spread across several timezones

Experience:

  •  5 years of experience working in a Product Development environment with at least 3 years working in an agile environment.
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in an agile coaching role, experience in multiple frameworks is an advantage.
  • Technical background is required.
