The Role

We have an immediate requirement in our development teams in Mississauga, Ontario (Winston Churchill Blvd /QEW), for a Principal Software Developer with an established track record of delivering software.

 

A Principal Software Developer drives the designs for projects, balancing project delivery dates with a forward-looking strategic direction for the implementation. This role includes hands on development as well as technical leadership.  As part of a team, you will also oversee the technical implementation of the design, working with the other team(s) members to ensure the products are built with high quality and maintainability. You should drive a project from design through execution. Have and be able to articulate/defend an informed opinion on important topics. Design and communicate it with team members and adapt to feedback to ensure that the implementation is correct. Take ownership of the feature/project and dive into it.

 

Skills & Experience:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science and post graduate education is ideal
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and strong interpersonal skills
  • Successfully led and delivered 2 or more applications using Agile/Scrum process with shorter release cycles
  • 10+ years software development experience
  •  3 years in a lead developer role
  • 10+ year experience with C# .Net 6, ASP.NET
  • 3+ years’ experience in REACT.
  • 5+ years AWS services and Containers
  • 5+ year experience with developing REST API
  • 5+ year experience with MS SQL Server and SQL scripts
  • Advanced experience with PowerShell scripts
  • 3+ experience with Git / GitLab / GitHub
  • Strong mindset towards achieving close to 100% code coverage with unit testing frameworks utilizing mocking packages
  • Experience with microservices architecture and domain driven design is an asset.
  • Experience with containers and cloud computing is an asset
