The Global Security and Safety Team is a specialized team dedicated to the security and safety of OpenText employees, products, property, and information.

The Sr. Program Manager, Security Technology will be responsible for assisting in the development and implementation of our Security Technology and Infrastructure program including complex system integrations, and analyzing security systems and structures to ensure the highest standards of security are being applied.

 

WHAT THE ROLE OFFERS:

 

  • Manage security systems installation projects end-to-end (ex. cameras, card readers, alarm systems, visitor management, etc.)
  • Collaborate with stakeholders for the consultation, design, and implementation of security hardware and software solutions including vendors, IT, Networking, ITSD & Facilities
  • Identify, articulate, plan and execute ways to improve the security technology program as well as the overall security integrity of OpenText’s people, facilities, assets and brand.
  • Support auditing of security systems, identifying and prioritizing issues and being proactive in articulating risks and solutions
  • Create and report on metrics related to issue remediation, system uptime, performance and lifecycle management
  • Keep current and aware of new and existing global offices to ensure evolving threats and conditions remain appropriately addressed by the physical security & systems technology infrastructure
  • Develop, implement and keep up to date, global best practices for lifecycle management and system health monitoring to ensure business continuity as well as a robust auditing and remediation framework based on identified issues with end-of-life technologies and impacts to system uptime
  • Collaborate and understand diverse business stakeholders and partners in a Global Organization
  • Seek to understand the OpenText Business Model and Values and ensure that solutions, practices and security policies are rooted in understanding the OpenText way

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED:

 

  • Demonstrated expertise leading high value security systems implementation and migration projects, including developing technical architecture diagrams. Runbooks, mitigation, and cutover plans
  • Strong understanding of security systems and technology from architecture to implementation
  • A strategic approach to planning out work and an understanding of the impact of that work to other security pillars and the overall organizational strategy
  • Advanced vendor management, contract management and developing/monitoring against vendor KPI and SLAs
  • Advanced understanding of lifecycle management, health monitoring and implementing/assessing system monitoring tools, assessing and mitigating risks to system integrity and uptime
  • Ability to properly assess systems and remediation plans and make thoughtful recommendations on how to proceed to address and mitigate issues
  • Experience with managing and integrating physical access control systems such as ProWatch, CCURE 9000, intrusion detection and video management systems as well as troubleshooting physical security hardware
  • Ability to develop and maintain security related processes, procedures, and program training including developing and informing Physical Security and Systems Standards documentation
  • Agility and an open, inquisitive, analytical mind that can link concepts, make connections across programs, look at big picture assessments and can easily pivot based on changing information
  • Understanding of the systems and processes used by a GSOC to effectively monitor a Global portfolio
  • A positive attitude, willingness to partner with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders and the flexibility to take on other responsibilities
  • Sound critical thinking with the ability to analyze and solve complex problems through an understanding of risk
  • Ability to create meaningful metrics (KPIs,SLAs), report on these metrics and use these metrics to inform risk management and financial decisions related to the Security Technology Program
  • Articulate, resilient under-pressure and committed to the best, possible, outcome
  • Willingness to work outside normal business hours as needed to support a 24/7 environment.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills and strong business acumen with good analytical skills and vendor management experience
  • A service-oriented/customer-driven approach
  • Foundational understanding of the principles of Enterprise Security Risk Management
  • An advanced risk management approach to assessing and solving problems
  • Post-secondary education in an area of study relevant to the position or equivalent experience
  • Professional certification in the security industry desirable (PSP,CPP)
