We are seeking a qualified senior software quality developer to drive our test automation initiative, maintain high quality standards while shortening regression cycles.
OpenText has recently expanded into the SMB/C market, and we want to continue to enhance the product.

First six months:
- Acquire knowledge on the general working principles of the CSSB product.
- Get familiar with current test automation setup and code base for CSSB.
- Help with manual testing on new product features, regression, and bug fixes, to gain an in-depth knowledge of the various job types, and to get to know some possible product issues which may occur in the field.
Six to twelve months and beyond:
- Writing REST API automation test cases in Python, making use of the Robot Framework, and for Jenkins pipelines.
- Programmatically update automation test results in OpenText's test case repository.
- Automate test machine and Windows application deployments in a VMWare environment.
- Help prepare test plans and develop automatable test cases for new features.

Must have:
- A Bachelor or above degree in computer science, software engineering, or technical equivalent.
- A minimum of five (5) years, working in a full-time, software quality assurance position.
- A minimum of recent two (2) years working as a REST API test automation developer programming in Python.
- Experience in text parsing for JSON.
- Experience with Jenkins
- Experience in Robot Framework or other frameworks
- Experience in writing PowerShell scripts for Windows administration.
- Knowledge of SQL servers and experience in using the SQL Language.
- Experience working in an Agile Scrum team.
- Knowledge of issue tracking applications such as JIRA.
Nice to have:
- Experience in writing test automation using a framework, such as the Robot Framework.
- Experience in working with a Jenkins CI/CD pipeline.
- Experience in using API testing tools, such as Postman.
- Hands-on experience in installing and configuring a Microsoft SQL server.
- Experience in writing PowerShell scripts for deploying Windows applications.
- Hands-on experience in deploying and configuring virtual machines in a VMWare (or Hyper-V) environment.
- Experience in writing PowerCLI scripts for administering VMWare virtual machines.
- Knowledge of Windows PowerShell desired state configuration, or a similar deployment and configuration application.
- Knowledge of general working principles of a data protection application.
- Familiarity on a cloud platform, such as AWS, Azure, or Google.
- Experience in other scripting languages, such as Windows or Linux shell commands, JavaScript, etc.
- Hands-on experience in installing and configuring a MySQL server.
