THE OPPORTUNITY:
As a Senior Account Executive, focused on the NSW and QLD you will guide our prospects and customers to become more agile by driving efficiencies in an increasingly Digital World.
You understand the biggest challenges in government and citizen services and how to influence those they matter most to by articulating unique solutions that meet their business outcomes. Your understanding on how technology can support and empower public sector staff to improve citizens outcomes is essential.
You will be self-motivated, inquisitive, a good listener and courageous in your efforts to understand your customer’s business challenges. You can demonstrate a unique value your solutions will deliver. Your ability to make good decisions and validate them comes naturally to you.
You are comfortable managing a consistently growing pipeline, identifying where best to spend your time and deliver positive outcomes is at the cornerstone of this role. We expect you to consistently develop opportunities, qualify them quickly and to challenge customers in a positive collaborative manner to drive successful outcomes for your customers and the citizens they support.

YOU ARE GREAT AT:
- Consultative selling and actively listening to your customers.
- Identifying and converting opportunities into sales.
- Skillfully executing each phase of the sales process from pipeline generation to closing the deal.
- Excellent client presentations and being able to clearly articulate the value our solutions will deliver customers.
- Understand how to identify, develop, and nurture partners to both sell and deliver positive business outcomes for customers.
- Being agile, creative, and demonstrating proactive and timely habits.
- Prioritizing your time into what matters most in meeting your goals and objectives at OpenText.
WHAT IT TAKES:
- You have a track record of at least 5+ years of selling Software Solutions in government or significant experience in consulting to or in government.
- You have experience working on cloud-based, on-premises or hybrid solutions.
- You can demonstrate how to identify, develop, and navigate large government businesses.
- You have a strong knowledge of the customer buying process.
- Demonstrate strong sales methodologies and the use of tools to achieve and exceed your targets.
- Whether it is the challenge of developing large accounts or finding untapped opportunities in your existing client base, the opportunity to grow our business is what drives your efforts every day.
- You are intellectually curious, easily grasp new products and solutions, and bring the spirit of innovation to your customers.
- Completed post-secondary education and a passion for continuous learning.
